The club won the title of the second stage in 1969, with the title of the Campeonato Colonial de Moçambique. After the independence of Mozambique from Portugal, Textáfrica do Chimoio won the Mozambican League, in 1976. Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. Chimoio
Chimoio is the capital of Manica Province in Mozambique. It is the fifth-largest city in Mozambique. Chimoio's name under Portuguese administration was ''Vila Pery''. Vila Pery developed under Portuguese rule as an important agricultural and textiles centre. The town lies on the railway line from Beira to Bulawayo, near the Cabeça do Velho rock. Located about 95 km from the Zimbabwean border, it has been a major destination for Zimbabwean immigrants looking for employment in Mozambique. Mozambique

Moçambola
Moçambola (or Campeonato Moçambicano de Futebol, Portuguese for Mozambican Football Championship) is the top division of Mozambican football. It is organized by the Liga Moçambicana de Futebol. History In 1976, shortly after the country's independence from Portugal, the competition's first season was contested. Only five clubs took part: Académica Maputo, AD Pemba, Desportivo de Maputo, Desportivo Tete, and Textáfrica. Until 2005, the competition was named Liga 2M.
