GAAGO
GAAGO is an Irish IPTV service jointly owned and operated by RTÉ and the Gaelic Athletic Association. It is a subscription-based sports channel aimed at an international market and at the Irish diaspora around the world. It features over 100 live and on demand Gaelic games over the year, a library of award-winning GAA documentaries as well as an archive of classic games from yesteryear. History As part of their broadcast rights deal, the GAA announced that it was to set up a new IPTV service for an international market. The service is owned by RTÉ and the GAA. It is run by RTÉ Digital. In 2020 GAAGO launched a similar streaming services for Irish Soccer called Watch LOI as the service provider for the Football Association of Ireland. National Football League (Ireland)
The National Football League (NFL; ga, Sraith Náisiúnta Peile) is an annual Gaelic football competition between the senior county teams of Ireland plus London. Sponsored by Allianz, it is officially known as the Allianz National Football League. The Gaelic Athletic Association organises the league. The winning team receives the New Ireland Cup, presented by the New Ireland Assurance Company. The National Football League is the second most prestigious inter-county Gaelic Football competition after the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Unlike many league competitions in sport, each team plays the other teams in their division only once. Teams that meet in the same division over the course of a number of years often play on a home and away basis in alternative years, though this is not strictly adhered to. Eoin Cadogan (born 1 September 1986) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Douglas and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-back. Playing career Douglas Community School Cadogan first came to prominence as a hurler and Gaelic footballer with Douglas Community School. He played in all grades as a dual player before lining out for the school's senior football team in the Corn Uí Mhuirí. Tommy Walsh (hurler, Born 1983)
Thomas Walsh (born 5 May 1983) is an Irish hurler who played as a right wing-back at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. Born in Tullaroan, County Kilkenny, Walsh first played competitive hurling during his schooling at St Kieran's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior panel during the 2002 championship. Walsh became a regular member of the starting fifteen the following year, and won nine All-Ireland medals (two as a non-playing substitute), ten Leinster medals and seven National League medals. Séamus Hickey
Séamus Hickey (born 2 October 1987) is an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Murroe-Boher from 2005 to 2019 and is now a member of the Croagh-Kilfinny club. Hickey was a member of the Limerick senior inter-county team from 2006 until 2018. Playing career College Hickey first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Flannan's College in Ennis, County Clare. Paddy Andrews (Gaelic Footballer)
Paddy Andrews (born 18 July 1988) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for St Brigid's and previously with the Dublin county team. He has been on the Dublin football panel since January 2008. He is the younger brother of former Dublin footballer Peadar Andrews. He won a Sigerson Cup medal with DCU in 2010. On 17 August 2011, Andrews signed for Monaghan United in the League of Ireland First Division. Andrews won the Dublin Senior Football Championship with St Brigid's in 2011. Marc Ó Sé
Marc Ó Sé (born 25 April 1980) is an Irish sportsman. A teacher by profession, he works in the CBS in Tralee Co. Kerry, he played Gaelic football for the Kerry county football team, Kerry county team from 2002 until 2016 and played with his local club team An Ghaeltacht GAA, An Ghaeltacht until 2018. Michael Murphy (Gaelic Footballer)
Michael Murphy (born 4 August 1989) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays as a full forward for Glenswilly and, formerly, for the Donegal county team, which he captained from December 2010 until his retirement from inter-county football in November 2022. His predecessors as Donegal players, such as Manus Boyle, Brendan Devenney and Anthony Molloy, regard Murphy as the county's greatest ever footballer.
