Gruppo Sportivo Dilettantistico Lascaris or simply Lascaris is an Italian association football club located in Pianezza, Piedmont. It in the season 2012–13 will play in Eccellenza. History The club was founded in 1954 by the boys who frequented the oratory of the parish of Pianezza, located near 'Villa Lascaris'', built by the Marquis Agostino Lascaris of Ventimiglia, who gave the name to the team. In summer 2011 it was promoted by repechage from Eccellenza Piedmont and Aosta Valley to Serie D for the first time. In the season 2011–12 it was immediately relegated again to Eccellenza. Eccellenza Piedmont-Aosta Valley ( it, Eccellenza Piemonte-Valle d'Aosta) is the regional Eccellenza football division for clubs in the regions of Piedmont and Aosta Valley, Italy. 2011–12 Serie D
The 2011–12 Serie D was the sixty-fourth edition of the top level Italian non-professional Association football, football championship. It represented the fifth tier in the Italian football league system. It consisted of 168 teams divided into six 18-team divisions and three 20-team divisions. In the summer 2011 Montecchio Maggiore was readmitted in Serie D to the judgment of the High Court of Justice, that has transformed the score of Montebelluna-Este from 2–1 to 0–3, for infringement of the rule on under. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Promotion and relegation After the regular season is completed, the first-placed team for each division is automatically promoted to Serie D.
