Gandham Satyamurthy (24 May 1954 – 14 December 2015) was an Indian screenwriter who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He worked as a story writer for over 90 films and as a dialogue writer for over 400 films. He is the father of film composer Devi Sri Prasad and singer Sagar. Vedurupaka
Vedurupaka is a village in Rayavaram mandal, East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh state, India. Geography The Tulyabhaga river flows by Vedurupaka. William Wilson Hunter described it as one of the seven estuaries of the mighty Godavari River. Culture One of the main attractions is Vijaya Durga Peetham, a place of worship of the Hindu goddess Durga. The village festival of Poleramma Jathara or Sambaram takes place each May; it is a 2-day carnival of religious fervour and traditional dances. ''Matru Devo Bhava'' is a 1993 Telugu drama film written and directed by K. Ajay Kumar. The film won the National Film Award for Best Lyrics by Veturi for the song "Raalipoye Puvva" and Filmfare Best Film Award (Telugu). The film was dubbed in Tamil as ''Thaai Ullam''.
