G.C. Cameron
George Curtis Cameron is an American soul and R&B singer who is currently married to singer Linda Dixon Cameron a.k.a. “Lady L.”. Perhaps best known as the lead singer of The Spinners on their 1970 hit " It's a Shame" and for his 1975 hit "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday". Cameron is credited with having "six different voices." McCall Creek
McCall Creek is an unincorporated community in Franklin County, Mississippi. It is located in eastern Franklin County, approximately two miles west of the Franklin-Lincoln County line, and is traversed by U.S. Route 84. The community was founded by European Americans in the early 1900s and was named for the McCall family, early settlers. In 1911, the community was incorporated as the village of McCall. The village had a recorded population of 140 at the 1920 census and 169 in 1930. Thereafter, the community reverted to unincorporated status. Today, McCall Creek has a store and sawmill. It has a post office, with the ZIP code 39647. The additional two lanes went in north of the existing two-lane road. Smokey Robinson
William "Smokey" Robinson Jr. (born February 19, 1940) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and former record executive director. He was the founder and front man of the Motown vocal group the Miracles, for which he was also chief songwriter and producer. He led the group from its 1955 origins as "the Five Chimes" until 1972, when he announced his retirement from the group to focus on his role as Motown's vice president. However, Robinson returned to the music industry as a solo artist the following year. Robinson left Motown Records in 1990, following the sale of the company two years earlier. Robinson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and was awarded the 2016 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for his lifetime contributions to popular music. Motorcity Records is a British record label formed by producer Ian Levine in 1989. The label aimed to record new material with former Motown artists. History Levine, a Motown fan since his childhood in the 1960s, was offered a chance to record Kim Weston on his Hi-NRG label Nightmare in 1987. The result ''Signal Your Intention'' topped the UK Hi-NRG charts and met with enthusiasm from Motown fans. Ardent Records is an American record label based in Memphis, which was founded by John Fry in 1959. Ardent of the 1960s and 1970s featured pop music acts and was distributed by Stax Records from 1972 until 1975. It is best remembered today for Big Star, whose first two albums, released in 1972 and 1974, helped define the style known as power pop.
