Fuzhou Railway Station (Taiwan)
Fuzhou () is a railway station on the Taiwan Railways Administration West Coast line located in Banqiao District, New Taipei, Taiwan. History The station was first opened in 1932 as a temporary station. It was closed in 1942, reopened in 1953 but ceased to operate soon afterwards. The new station began to operate on 2 September 2011, as a result of TRA's policy of transforming its railroad lines into MRT-type railroad. The only train that stops at this station is the local train. The station is located at the outskirts of Banqiao, and is mostly used by commuters. Banqiao District
Banqiao District () is a district and the seat of New Taipei City, Taiwan. It has the third-highest population density in Taiwan, with over . Until the creation of New Taipei City, Banqiao (then transliterated as Banciao or Pan-ch'iao) was an incorporated county-administered city and the former seat of Taipei County. Name origin The district's old name was ''Pang-kio'' (), which dates back to the Qing Dynasty during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735 - 1796 AD). A wooden bridge, locally called ''Pang-kio-thau'' (枋橋頭), was built for pedestrians to cross a brook located in the west of today's Banqiao, the modern day Nanzigou (湳仔溝, literally "Nanzi Creek"). New Taipei City is a Special municipality (Taiwan), special municipality located in northern Taiwan. Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) is a railway operator in Taiwan. It is an agency of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, responsible for managing, maintaining, and running conventional passenger and freight railway services on 1097 km of track in Taiwan. West Coast Line (Taiwan)
Western Trunk line () is a railway line of the Taiwan Railways Administration in western Taiwan. It is by far the busiest line, having served over 171 million passengers in 2016. The total length of the line is 404.5 km. The line is an official classification of physical tracks and does not correspond to particular services. It is connected to Taichung line (''mountain line''; ) at Zhunan and Changhua. Many services turn inland to take the Taichung route, then reconnect back to the main line (West Coast line). National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA; ) is a university in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. It is the oldest and most prestigious art university in Taiwan.
