''Fuse'' ( bs, Gori vatra, "The Fire is Burning") is a Bosnian comedy/drama film directed by Pjer Žalica. It was released in 2003. Synopsis The plot takes place in the small town of Tešanj in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two years after the Bosnian War. The town is overridden by corruption, prostitution and organized crime. People of Tešanj live in peace, though the war scars are visible everywhere in town, as well as in people's souls. After the war, the population of Tešanj consists almost exclusively of Bosniaks. Ethnic Serbs now live in surrounding villages. It is announced that U.S. president Bill Clinton will pay a visit to the town. Western bureaucrats arrive to Tešanj to supervise the preparations for the visit. Everything in the town must be in order, including the faked brotherhood between Bosniaks and Serbs. Pjer Žalica
Pjer Žalica (born 7 May 1964 in Sarajevo) is a Bosnians, Bosnian film director, screenwriter and a professor at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. His father Miodrag (1926–1992) was a noted dramaturgist and poet who scripted several TV movies. He has directed several short films, only one of which is (''Mostar Sevdah Reunion'' 2000) as well as three feature films, ''Fuse (film), Gori vatra'' (2003), and ''Days and Hours, Kod amidže Idriza'' (2004). In May 2008, he directed the music video for the duet ''Dabogda'' by Dino Merlin and Hari Mata Hari. The Sarajevo Film Festival is the premier and largest film festival in Southeast Europe, and is one of the largest film festivals in Europe. It was founded in Sarajevo in 1995 during the siege of Sarajevo in the Bosnian War, and brings international and local celebrities to Sarajevo every year. The Locarno Film Festival is an annual film festival, held every August in Locarno, Switzerland. Emina Zečaj
Emina Zečaj ('' née'' Ahmedhodžić; 17 March 1929 – 19 April 2020) was a Bosnian interpreter of the traditional folk music, sevdalinka. Zečaj was called an "icon of traditional Bosnian music" by American '' Billboard'' magazine in 2004. Early life Emina was born in Sarajevo's Old Town, in what is today Bosnia and Herzegovina on 17 March 1929. She was the daughter of Avdija Ahmedhodžić and his wife Melća. Career Professor Cvjetko Rihtman, an ethnomusicologist, discovered her in the early 1960s. Following persuasion from her friends, Emina auditioned before two well known professors, Zvonimir Nevžela and Beluš Jungić, with the folk songs ''Kad se jangin iz sokaka pomoli'' and ''Poranila na vodicu Zlata''. Almir Čehajić
Almir Čehajić, also known as Batko, is a Bosnian talk show host and actor. He is the host of the radio programme ''Udri muški'' which encourages viewers to donate money to help the programme's guests fund medical procedures. Formerly a dentist, Čehajić was inspired to start the programme when his daughter died because he did not have the funds for her heart surgery. He decided to start ''Udri muški'' to help other people in the same situation. Since its debut in 1999, ''Udri muški'' has funded medical treatment and provided financial assistance for over 8,000 people. In 2010, Čehajić was awarded the Humanitarian Award from the International League of Humanists in recognition of his efforts.
