Tom Ligon
Thomas Ligon (born September 10, 1940) is an actor of Cajun ancestry. He appeared in the films '' Paint Your Wagon'', ''Jump'', and ''Bang the Drum Slowly'' (in which he also sang the title song) as well as the television series ''The Young and the Restless'', and '' Oz''. Life and career Mentored by folksinger and actor Gordon Heath in Paris, beginning in the mid 1950s, Ligon then attended St. Albans School (Washington, D.C.), where he suffered a broken leg while playing football, and, sans sports, his interests turned solidly toward theater. At Yale, where he was a member of Skull and Bones and graduated as an English major (1962), he was discovered by Tennessee Williams, who saw his performance as Kilroy in Williams' play, '' Camino Real'' at the Yale Dramatic Association. Logan Carlisle Ramsey Jr. (March 21, 1921 – June 26, 2000) was an American character actor of television and film for nearly 50 years. Early life Ramsey was born in Long Beach, California, the son of Harriet Lillian (née Kilmartin) and Captain Logan Carlisle Ramsey Sr., USN, a Naval Aviator who raised the alarm during the attack on Pearl Harbor and later became the captain of the aircraft carrier USS ''Block Island'' (CVE-21). The junior Ramsey served as a Naval Aviator aboard the sunken ''Block Islands namesake carrier, USS ''Block Island'' (CVE-106). During down time, Ensign Ramsey would participate in "smokers" (entertainment programs between boxing matches) aboard ship. Collin Randall Wilcox (February 4, 1935 – October 14, 2009) was an American film, stage and television actress. Over her career, she was also credited as Collin Wilcox-Horne or Collin Wilcox-Paxton. Wilcox may be best known for her role in ''To Kill a Mockingbird'' (1962), in which she played Mayella Violet Ewell, whose father falsely claimed she had been raped by a Black man, which sparks the trial at the center of the film. Early years Wilcox was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved with her family to Highlands, North Carolina, as a baby. Norman Rose (June 23, 1917 – November 12, 2004) was an American actor, film narrator and radio announcer whose velvety baritone was often called "the Voice of God" by colleagues. He was best known as the narrator's voice in the fictitious coffee grower's Juan Valdez Colombian coffee television commercials and the announcer-narrator of NBC's '' Dimension X''. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rose started acting while a student at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Rose honed his craft at the Actors Studio Drama School in New York, then landed parts in plays on and off-Broadway. Sudie Bond (July 13, 1923 – November 10, 1984) was an American actress on film, stage, and television. Early years Bond was one of four children of J. Roy Bond, an industrialist, and Carrie Bond. She grew up in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and was active in horsemanship competition as a youngster and during her years in college. By 1938, she was acting in plays. In 1940, she graduated from the Fassifern School in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Conrad Stafford Bain (February 4, 1923 – January 14, 2013) was a Canadian-American comedian and actor. His television credits include a leading role as Phillip Drummond in the sitcom ''Diff'rent Strokes'', as Dr. Arthur Harmon on '' Maude'', and as Charlie Ross in '' Mr. President'' (1987–1988).
