Fulton is a neighborhood in the Southwest, Minneapolis, Southwest community in Minneapolis. Its boundaries are West 47th Street to the north, Penn Avenue South to the east, West 54th Street to the south, and France Avenue South to the west. Nearby neighborhoods include Linden Hills, Minneapolis, Linden Hills to the north, Lynnhurst, Minneapolis, Lynnhurst to the east, and Armatage, Minneapolis, Armatage to the south. The suburb of Edina, Minnesota, Edina lies to the south and west. West 50th Street is a major east–west thoroughfare bisecting the neighborhood. At its intersection with France Avenue is the upscale 50th & France commercial district, which lies along the border between Minneapolis and Edina. In 2017 Fulton saw the killing of Justine Damond, in which a 40 year old Australian woman was shot and killed by police officer Mohamed Noor after calling 9-1-1 to report a possible assault behind her home. Armatage is a neighborhood in the Southwest community in Minneapolis. In the city's southwest corner, the neighborhood is bounded on the north by 54th Street West, on the east by Logan Avenue South, on the south by Highway 62, and on the west by the city limits at Xerxes Avenue South. The neighborhood grew around the school named for Maude Armatage, a distinguished community leader. Armatage is built up with mostly single-family housing and some multifamily buildings. Lynnhurst is a neighborhood in the Southwest community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its boundaries are 46th Street to the north, Lyndale Avenue to the east, 54th Street to the south, and Penn Avenue to the west. It is located along the southeastern shore of Lake Harriet. Linden Hills, Minneapolis
Linden Hills is a neighborhood in the Southwest community of Minneapolis on a hill overlooking Lake Harriet. It was one of the last areas to be developed in the City of Minneapolis. A majority of the land around where neighborhood is today was cottages and open land until the 1870s. The area started growing following the extension of the Como-Harriet Streetcar Line through the neighborhood.
