Fuli Township () is a rural township located in southern Hualien County, Taiwan. Geography The township is located at the Huatung Valley. It has 10,849 inhabitants with 3,993 households around. The population is composed of Hakka, Hoklo, and Ami peoples. Administrative divisions Fengnan, Fuli, Funan, Luoshan, Mingli, Shipai, Tungli, Wanning, Wujiang, Xinxing, Xuetian Yongfeng and Zhutian Village. Economy The agricultural product of ''Fuli Rice'' is a famous rice in Taiwan and provides a well economy development and working chances for residents. Dongli Story House
The Dongli Story House () is a rice mill in Fuli Township, Hualien County, Taiwan. History The building is a rice mill which was originally established in 1899 named Dongli Rice Factory. In the 1950s, the factory moved to its current bigger location due to the increase in rice production. In the 1970s, the factory began to produce organic rice due to the trend at that time. Later on, the Dongli Story House was established at the premise to preserve the historical artifacts of rice cultivation from the earlier times. Transportation The factory is accessible within walking distance south of Dongli Station of Taiwan Railways. Dongli Railway Station
Dongli railway station () is a railway station located in Fuli Township, Hualien County, Taiwan. It is located on the Taitung line and is operated by Taiwan Railways. History The railway station was originally constructed in the southeast of the current station building when the line was not yet rerouted. After the line was rerouted, the new station building was constructed to be what is the current Dongli railway station today and the old station was named Old Dongli railway station (). The old station now serves as the southern end of the 9.8-km long Yufu Bikeway () taking place of the old section of the railway line before the rerouting works. On 18 September 2022, six coaches of the Tze-chiang limited express which was stopping at the station derailed cause by the 2022 Taitung earthquakes. ''Hemerocallis fulva'', the orange day-lily, tawny daylily, corn lily, tiger daylily, fulvous daylily, ditch lily or Fourth of July lily (also railroad daylily, roadside daylily, outhouse lily, and wash-house lily), is a species of daylily native to Asia. Xiuguluan River
The Xiuguluan River () is the eighth-longest river in Taiwan with a total length of . It is located in the southeastern part of the island. It flows through the Huadong Valley before emptying into the Pacific Ocean in Fengbin, Hualien. Overview The river originates on the eastern side of Mabolasi Mountain (on the border with Taitung County) and flows through Xiuguluan Mountain. It is the largest river in eastern Taiwan. Over 30 species of fish have been found in the river.
