Fud Leclerc
Ferdinand Urbain Dominic Leclerc (, 1924 – 20 September 2010) was a Belgian singer, who was also the pianist of Juliette Gréco. Leclerc had a career as a pianist, accordionist, songwriter and singer before retiring to travel the world. On his return to Belgium he began a new career as a building contractor. More recently, Leclerc was invited to Belgian national final of Eurovision 2005 by the Belgian TV network RTBF as a guest star. Leclerc represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest four times: The song Leclerc performed in the 1962 Contest is notable for being the (joint) first song performed at the Contest that scored zero points. Eurovision Song Contest 1958
The Eurovision Song Contest 1958 was the third edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster (NTS), the contest, originally known as the (English: Grand Prix of the Eurovision Song Contest 1958) was held on Wednesday 12 March 1958 at the AVRO Studios in Hilversum, the Netherlands and hosted by Dutch television presenter Hannie Lips. This marked the first time that the contest was hosted in the country of the preceding year's winner, a tradition that has been continued ever since (with some exceptions). Ten countries participated, equalling the number which took part the previous year; made its first appearance in the contest, while the decided not to participate. Belgium was represented by Jacques Raymond, with the song "Waarom?", at the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 23 March in London. The song was chosen in the national final on 16 February. Raymond had previously finished second in the Belgian final in 1961, and would later represent the country in a duet with Lily Castel in 1971. Before Eurovision National final The final was held on 16 February at the Amerikaans Theater in Brussels, hosted by Denise Maes and Bob Boon. Six songs qualified for the final having survived a series of qualifying rounds, the details of which are also unknown. The winner was chosen by an "expert" by jury and a public jury. The points were allocated through a decibel meter which measured how loud the applause was for each song, and the amount was counted into points. Jacques Raymond (born Jozef Remon on 13 October 1938) is a Belgian singer. He represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 with the Dutch song "Waarom?". In the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest, he teamed up with Lily Castel to sing " Goeiemorgen, Morgen" for the Belgian entry on short notice after Nicole Josy of Nicole & Hugo fell ill. Bob Benny
Bob Benny (18 May 1926 – 29 March 2011), born Emilius Wagemans, was a Belgian singer and musical theatre performer, who participated in the Eurovision Song Contests of 1959 and 1961. Early career Benny began his singing career at the end of World War II when he started performing regularly at a café in Sint-Niklaas. By the early 1950s, he had regular spots on radio and released his first album ''Mijn haart spreekt tot u'' (''My Heart Speaks to You''). In 1957, he had his first hit single with "Cindy, Oh Cindy", which reached No. 2 on the Belgian chart. Bobbejaan Schoepen (a pseudonym of Modest Schoepen; 16 May 1925 – 17 May 2010) was a Flemish pioneer in Belgian pop music, vaudeville, and European country music.
