Fu Tai (constituency)
Fu Tai () is one of the 31 constituencies in the Tuen Mun District. Created for the 2003 District Council elections, the constituency returns one district councillor to the Tuen Mun District Council, with an election every four years. Fu Tai loosely covers areas surrounding Botania Villa, Fu Tai Estate, Fu Tei Ha Tsuen, Fu Tei Sheung Tsuen and Fuk Hang Tsuen in Tuen Mun with an estimated population of 19,298. 2003 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2003 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 23 November 2003 for all 18 districts of Hong Kong, 400 members from directly elected constituencies out of total 529 council members. It was the second District Council election after the handover of Hong Kong in 1997. The election was historically significant as it was the first election came after the controversies over the legislation of the Hong Kong Basic Law Article 23 and the large-scale July 1 protests in mid-2003 against the unpopular Tung Chee-hwa administration. The election saw the devastating defeat of the pro-government pro-Beijing camp. Fu Tei Tsuen () is a village in the Fu Tei area of Tuen Mun District, Hong Kong. It comprises the two hamlets of Fu Tei Ha Tsuen () and Fu Tei Sheung Tsuen (). Leung Chun-ying
Leung Chun-ying (; born 12 August 1954), also known as CY Leung, is a Hong Kong politician and chartered surveyor, who has served as vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference since March 2017. He was previously the third Chief Executive of Hong Kong between 2012 and 2017. A surveyor by profession, Leung entered politics when he joined the Hong Kong Basic Law Consultative Committee (HKBLCC) in 1985 and became its secretary-general in 1988. 2019 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. Tuen Mun
Tuen Mun or Castle Peak is an area near the mouth of Tuen Mun River and Castle Peak Bay in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It was one of the earliest settlements in what is now Hong Kong and can be dated to the Neolithic period. In the more recent past, it was home to many Tanka fishermen who gathered at Castle Peak Bay. Tuen Mun is now a modern, mainly residential area in the north-west New Territories. As of 2011, 487,546 live in Tuen Mun and over 95% of them are Chinese.
