Frédérique Bredin
Frédérique Bredin (born 2 November 1956) is a French politician who used to serve as president of the National Center of Cinematography and the moving image (CNC). Born in Paris, Bredin graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, as well as the École nationale d'administration, graduating in 1980 alongside fellow French Socialist Party (PS) politicians François Hollande, Michel Sapin, and Ségolène Royal. Bredin began her political career serving under Jack Lang during his time as Culture Minister of France, then in 1986 became cultural advisor to President François Mitterrand. She ran in the 1988 legislative election out of a constituency in Seine-Maritime. She won election to the National Assembly, and at 31 years of age she was the youngest member of the Assembly at that time. Michel Sapin (; born 9 April 1952 is a French politician who served as Minister of Finance from 1992 to 1993 and again from 2014 to 2017. He is a member of the Socialist Party. He was Minister of the Civil Service from 2000 to 2002 and Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Affairs from 2012 to 2014. Sapin has also served as a member of the National Assembly of France. After President François Hollande took office, Sapin became the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Affairs in the government headed by Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault on 16 May 2012. On 12 June 1994 the fourth direct elections to the European Parliament were held in the France. Six lists were able to win seats: an alliance of the centre-right Union for French Democracy and the Gaullist Rally for the Republic, the Socialist Party, the Left Radical Party, the French Communist Party, the National Front and Philippe de Villiers' eurosceptic right-wing dissident UDF list, which formed the ''Majorité pour l'autre Europe''. 53.5% of the French population turned out on election day, actually an improvement on the last election in 1989. In 1986, the Socialist Party (PS) of President Mitterrand lost the legislative election.
