Fritzi Haberlandt (born 6 June 1975, in East Berlin) is a German actress. She studied theatre at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. Early in her career, she played the role of Lucile Duplessis in ''Danton's Death'', with the Berliner Ensemble, in a production directed by Robert Wilson. ''Fritzi Ritz'' is an American comic strip created in 1922 by Larry Whittington. In 1925, the strip was taken over by Ernie Bushmiller and, in 1938, the daily strip evolved into the popular '' Nancy''. The Sunday edition of the strip, begun by Bushmiller in 1929, continued until 1967. Publication history Distributed by United Feature Syndicate, ''Fritzi Ritz'' began October 9, 1922, in the ''New York Evening World''. Fritzi Scheff (born Friederike Scheff; August 30, 1879 – April 8, 1954) was an American actress and singer. Biography Born Friederike Scheff in Vienna to Dr. Gottfried Scheff and Anna Yeager, she studied at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt. She made her debut on January 10, 1897 in Nuremberg. She debuted in Munich at the Royal Opera House. In 1901 she first appeared at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, singing rôles in ''La Bohème'', ''Die Meistersinger'', ''Die Walküre'', and ''Don Giovanni''. She sang in the Victor Herbert operetta ''Babette'' at Washington, D.C. and New York (1903). Fredericka Berneice "Fritzi" Ridgeway (April 8, 1898 – March 29, 1961) was an American silent film actress, vaudeville performer, and hotelier. Though she starred in numerous films, she is perhaps best known for her work in silent Western films. A native of Montana, Ridgeway worked as both a vaudeville performer and a professional trick rider before making her film debut in 1916. She appeared in 63 films between 1916 and 1934, with prominent roles in Western films populating much of her early career. Other notable roles include supporting parts in Tod Browning's drama ''The Unpainted Woman'' (1919) and '' The Enemy'' (1927). Early life and career Fritzi Massary was born Friederike Massaryk in Vienna in the Austro-Hungarian Empire on 31 March 1882. She was one of the leading operetta singers in Berlin and Vienna. Friederike "Fritzi" Löwy (18 November 1910 – 13 March 1994) was an Austrian Olympic swimmer. She won a bronze medal in the 400 m freestyle at the 1927 European Aquatics Championships. That same year she set the European record in the 200m freestyle. She competed in freestyle at the 1928 Summer Olympics, but did not reach the finals. Early life Löwy was born in Vienna, Austria. She was the youngest of seven children, and was Jewish. Fritzi Gordon (1905 or 1916 – 8 February 1992) was an Austrian-born British bridge player, half of the most famous and tempestuous female partnership in the game's history. Following her long-time partner Rixi Markus, she was the second woman to attain the rank of WBF World Grand Master. She won four world titles, eight European championships and numerous other tournaments. Life Gordon was born Frederika Leist in either Graz or Vienna to middle-class Jewish parents. After school, she became the buyer for a Salzburg store, married Paul Gordon and moved to Graz. The annexation of Austria by Germany in 1938 (Anschluss) disrupted her life, as it did to so many others. Fritzi Fern (born Fritzi Fern Blower, September 19, 1901September 20, 1932) was a motion picture actress from Akron, Ohio. She was the daughter of Hattie R. Blower. Movie actress Fern was raised and educated in Los Angeles, California. She was a child actress with the Morosco Company and made films for the Greyhound Motion Picture Company as a youth. In 1922 she was cast in a series of two-reelers starring Little Napoleon. For a time she was a stage dancer in California and worked in vaudeville. She was rediscovered at the age of nineteen.
