Fritz Schur
Fritz Henrik Schur Junior (born 27 November 1951) is a Danish businessman with ties to both royal, business and political circles in Denmark. Fritz Schur has since 1999 been honorary consul general of Finland to Denmark. Early life and education Schur was born in Vejle on 27 November 1951. He is fifth generation of a wealthy merchant family. He grew up in Gentofte and graduated from Ordrup Gymnasium in 1970. He completed a bachelor's degree from Copenhagen Business School in 1973 but never completed his MBA. Career During his career Fritz Schur has been chairman of several companies including Ørsted, Uhrenholdt Holding, Fritz Schur Gruppen, Relation-Lab, SAS Group and PostNord. Personal life Schur lives on the Christiansholm estate in Klampenborg north of Copenhagen. Awards On 24 April 2009, Fritz Schur became a Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog. Vejle () is a city in Denmark, in the southeast of the Jutland Peninsula at the head of Vejle Fjord, where the Vejle River and Grejs River and their valleys converge. The Royal Order of the Polar Star (Swedish: ''Kungliga Nordstjärneorden'') is a Swedish order of chivalry created by King Frederick I on 23 February 1748, together with the Order of the Sword and the Order of the Seraphim. The Order of the Polar Star was until 1975 intended as a reward for Swedish and foreign "civic merits, for devotion to duty, for science, literary, learned and useful works and for new and beneficial institutions". Its motto is, as seen on the blue enameled centre of the badge, ''Nescit Occasum'', a Latin phrase meaning "It knows no decline". This is to represent that Sweden is as constant as a never setting star. The Order's colour is black. The Order of the Lion of Finland ( fi, Suomen Leijonan ritarikunta; sv, Finlands Lejons orden) is one of three official orders in Finland, along with the Order of the Cross of Liberty and the Order of the White Rose of Finland. Order Of The Dannebrog
The Order of the Dannebrog ( da, Dannebrogordenen) is a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as ''White Knights'' to distinguish them from the ''Blue Knights'' who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes. The ''Grand Commander'' class is reserved to persons of princely origin. It is awarded only to royalty with close family ties with the Danish Royal House. The statute of the Order was amended in 1951 by a Royal Ordinance so that both men and women could be members of the Order. Today, the Order of the Dannebrog is a means of honouring and rewarding the faithful servants of the modern Danish state for meritorious civil or military service, for a particular contribution to the arts, sciences or business life, or for working for Danish interests. Klampenborg
Klampenborg is a northern suburb to Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located in Gentofte Municipality, directly on Øresund, between Taarbæk and Skovshoved. Like other neighbourhoods along the Øresund coast, Klampenborg is an affluent area with many large houses. Christiansholm, Gentofte Municipality
Christiansholm is a historic house in Klampenborg, Gentofte Municipality, some 10 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was built by the merchant Just Fabritius and is now owned by the businessman Fritz Schur. History Early history The Klampenborg area was in 1666 granted to Historiographer Royal (Denmark), Historiographer Royal Vitus Bering (1617–1675), Vitus Bering for life by Christian V of Denmark, Christian V. He constructed the a modest country house at the site and gave it the name Christians Holm in 1670. It has been described as the earliest country house in Denmark.
