In countries adopting the ISO-defined "Monday-first" convention, it is the fifth day of the week. In most Western countries, Friday is the fifth and final day of the working week. In some other countries, Friday is the first day of the weekend, with Saturday the second. In Israel, Friday is the sixth day of the week. In Iran, Friday is the last day of the weekend, with Saturday as the first day of the working week. Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Kuwait also followed this convention until they changed to a Friday–Saturday weekend on September 1, 2006, in Bahrain and the UAE, and a year later in Kuwait. The UAE changed its weekend from Friday-Saturday to Saturday-Sunday on January 1, 2022. Etymology The name ''Friday'' comes from the Old English ', meaning the "day of Frig", a result of an o ...

Round Room
''Round Room'' is the tenth studio album by the American rock band Phish released on December 10, 2002, by Elektra Records. The album was recorded over the span of four days in October 2002, and its release marked the end of the group's two year hiatus from touring and recording. Production and release Initially, Phish planned to record the album live at their December 31, 2002 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City, their first concert since October 2000, but they decided instead to release the songs they had recorded that fall instead. As with previous Phish albums, the songs originated in collaborative writing sessions between frontman Trey Anastasio and lyricist Tom Marshall (with two songs contributed by bass guitarist Mike Gordon). ''Round Room'' is unique, however, in that the final tracks were taken from the band's unedited rehearsal sessions at The Barn, Anastasio's studio in Vermont. ''Rolling Stone'' notes that this approach gives the album a "decidedly l ...

''Rock On Honorable Ones!!'' is the second studio album by American rock band Bowling for Soup. The title is a reference to the slogan of S.H.
