The Bomfunk MC's is a Finnish hip hop group that was active between 1998 and 2005, before reuniting in 2018. The group's frontman is the rapper B.O. Dubb (born Raymond Ebanks, and formerly known as "B.O.W."), and the main producer is Jaakko Salovaara, known as "JS16". Career 1999–2005 The band's debut release was the 1999 album '' In Stereo'' (Sony Music), which contained the singles "Freestyler", "Uprocking Beats", and "B-Boys & Flygirls", all of which were popular in the United Kingdom. Raymond Ebanks
Raymond Anthony Ebanks, also known as B.O. Dubb (formerly known as B.O.W.; born 2 January 1970), is a British-born Finnish rapper best known as the frontman of the hip-hop group the Bomfunk MC's. Early career Raymond was born in London to a British father of Jamaican and English extraction and a Finnish mother. He began recording music as a teenager in the early 1990s as part of the hip hop group "The Master Brothers", who often performed over DJ sets at clubs. Whilst no recordings were made, some of their performances were recorded, and have emerged online. Around this time, Raymond performed guest raps on the song Cryin' Out by Rama (1994). Soup De Loop In 1995, Raymond teamed up with longtime producer Jaakko "JS16" Salovaara and singer Mari Vesala to form the pop group Soup De Loop, and signed to the now defunct Blue Bubble Records. JS16
Jaakko Salovaara (born 13 January 1975), better known by his stage name JS16, is a Finnish musician, DJ and record producer. He is best known for his work with Finnish hip hop group Bomfunk MC's, producing their most successful song "Freestyler", and for his work with Finnish DJ and producer Darude, as well as other solo productions and remixes. He released his debut studio album, ''Stomping System'' in 1998. He is part of the DJ duo Dallas Superstars with Heikki L, and owns the dance music record label 16 Inch Records. Raptori
Raptori was a rap group, formed 1989 in Hyvinkää, Finland. They were pioneers of Finnish rap music. Raptori were both aggressive and humoristic at once, and often used counter-intuitive rhymes. During the last years of 1990s dozens of new Finnish rap groups appeared but Raptori was among the first. Raptori's first album, '' Moe!'', was highly successful, selling over 80 000 copies and yielding a number one single (on Finnish chart) "Oi Beibi". After their second album Raptori broke up (or at least left the scene) but they came back in 2000 and released their third album. Hakaniemi metro station (, ) is a station on the Helsinki Metro. It serves the central Helsinki districts of Hakaniemi and Kallio. Both lines M1 and M2 serve Hakaniemi. There are 28 bicycle parking spaces at the station. Opened on 1 June 1982, Hakaniemi was among the first metro stations opened in Helsinki.
