Free Souffriau
Free Souffriau (born 8 February 1980) is a Flemish musical actress and singer. Free is a Dutch spelling of Fré (a contracted form of Fréderique) and is hence pronounced 'fray' in contrast to the usual pronunciation of 'free' in English. After graduating from ballet school in Antwerp in 1998, she went on to perform in a variety of musicals. She is best known for her portrayal of Mega Mindy, the singing superhero of the eponymous television series (2006–present). She firmly established herself as an accomplished singer during the 2007 series of Flemish TV programme '' Steracteur Sterartiest'', the Flemish version of ''Soapstar Superstar ''Soapstar Superstar'' is a British talent show that aired on ITV from 6 January 2006 to 13 January 2007. Mega Mindy
''Mega Mindy'' is a Flemish children's television series with a supernatural/superhero drama theme. The series was created by Studio 100 and airs on the Flemish TV channel Ketnet. It centers around a young woman, Mieke, (Free Souffriau), who lives with her grandparents and works as a police officer but also has a secret identity as superhero Mega Mindy. She tries to keep it a secret, but falls in love with Toby (Louis Talpe) who also works at the police. He is in love with Mega Mindy and does not know that Mieke secretly likes him and is actually Mega Mindy. She tries to find a way to balance between work and being a superhero, but it is not always easy. ''Soapstar Superstar'' is a British talent show that aired on ITV from 6 January 2006 to 13 January 2007. The show's format works in a similar format to that of ''Pop Idol'' and ''The X Factor'', in that the competition features a group of soap opera actors performing in front of a celebrity panel of judges, with the weakest performers being eliminated when they receive the fewest votes from the judges and a public vote.
