Mario Philip Azzopardi (born 19 November 1950) is a Canadian-Maltese television director, television and film director and writer. Early life and emigration Azzopardi was born in Siggiewi, Malta, and was educated at St Aloysius' College (Malta), St Aloysius' College (Birkirkara, Malta), and the University of Malta, Royal University of Malta. In 1971, while still a student at the university, he directed Gaġġa, Il-Gaġġa, based on Frans Sammut's novel ''Il-Gaġġa'', presumed to be the first full-length feature filmed entirely in Maltese language, Maltese. Transferred to digital format and enhanced, the film was re-released in Malta in March 2007. Around the same time he assisted Cecil Satariano during the making of ''"Giuseppi."'' Nigel Bennett (born 19 November 1949) is a British-Canadian actor, director, and writer who has been based in Canada since 1986. ''Miracle Landing'' (also known as ''Panic in the Open Sky'') is a 1990 American made-for-television drama film based on an in-flight accident aboard Aloha Airlines Flight 243 that occurred in April 1988. The Boeing 737-200 was flying from Hilo, Hawaii to Honolulu, Hawaii, when it experienced rapid decompression when a section of the fuselage was torn away. With one flight attendant blown from the cabin to her death and 65 others injured, the aircraft was able to make a successful emergency landing at Kahului Airport, on Maui. ''Fearless'' is a 1993 American drama film directed by Peter Weir and starring Jeff Bridges, Isabella Rossellini, Rosie Perez and John Turturro.
