Fred Riebeling
Fredrick Riebeling (born 29 January 1953) is an Australian politician. He was a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 1992 to 2008. Riebeling was born in Bridgetown. Before becoming a member of parliament, he was a Roebourne shire president. He represented the electorate of Ashburton until it was abolished in 1994 and became part of the electorate of Burrup, which itself was later abolished in a redistribution in 2003 and became part of the electorate of North West Coastal. Riebeling was appointed as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in 2001. He is married to Colleen Riebling and has three sons. Riebeling retired shortly before the 2008 election and Vince Catania, the son of Balcatta MP Nick Catania, won preselection for the vacant seat and retained the seat for the Labor Party. Riebeling is currently an elected member for the City of Mandurah after winning his 2011 WA local government election contest for a Coastal Ward seat. In 2013 ... Nicholas Mark Catania (born 18 December 1945) is a former Australian politician. Catania served as Mayor of the City of Vincent in inner-city Perth, Western Australia, between 2001 and 2011. Pam Buchanan
Pamela Ann Buchanan (née Slocombe; 6 February 1937 – 31 March 1992) was an Australian politician who was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia between 1983 and 1992. She represented the Labor Party for the majority of her time in parliament, and was a minister in the Lawrence government, but resigned to sit as an independent in 1991. Biography Buchanan was born in Perth to Doris May (née Brittain) and Walter Scott Slocombe. She attended Perth Girls' High School, and later went on to Perth Technical College. From 1967 to 1976, she was a preschool administrator in Roebourne, in the state's north-west, where she also ran an adult education centre for Aboriginals. Town Of Port Hedland
The Town of Port Hedland is a local government area in the Pilbara region of Western Australia containing the twin settlements of Port Hedland and South Hedland and the industrial precinct of Wedgefield. It had a population of approximately 14,500 as at the 2016 Census of which only a few hundred live outside the settlement boundaries. History The Pilbara Road District was gazetted on 22 June 1894. It lost some territory to the new Nullagine Road District on 8 July 1898. It was renamed the Port Hedland Road District on 18 March 1904.
