Fred Mann (footballer)
Fred Mann (25 October 1878 – 22 February 1970) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Mann, recruited from Leopold but born in England, played his first VFL game in 1901. In his first season, he was a member of Essendon's premiership team and played in their Grand Final loss a year later, in 1902. A defender, he spent the rest of the decade in the West Australian Football League, first at East Fremantle for a season in 1904 and then at South Fremantle for a longer stint which saw him play 77 games. Ken Mann, his grandson, as well as Peter Mann Peter Travis Mann (born 7 September 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer. who played a total of 118 matches in the AFL for the North Melbourne and Fremantle Football Clubs. Perth

The Leopold Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Lions'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in Leopold, Victoria. The club teams currently compete in the regional Geelong Football Netball League. They play their home games at Leopold Memorial Park. History Originally a team from Leopold played in local competitions from 1897 to 1922. In 1923 they disbanded. In 1955 they reformed and entered into the Geelong & District Football League, Jarman Cup division. In 1963 they lost the Grand Final, both Grand Finalists were promoted to the Woolworths Cup. In 1964 they made the Woolworth Cup Grand Final but lost by a point. In 1965 the transferred into the Polwarth Football League. Peter Travis Mann (born 7 September 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer. who played a total of 118 matches in the AFL for the North Melbourne and Fremantle Football Clubs. Peter is currently residing in Perth. Claremont and North Melbourne After playing 22 senior games in his debut season for Claremont, including their win in the WAFL Grand Final, Mann was drafted by the West Coast Eagles as a pre-draft priority selection in the 1989 VFL Draft. He remained on the Eagles' list for the 1990 season, but did not play a game for them. He was then traded to North Melbourne prior to the 1990 AFL Draft, in return for the 9th selection (which the Eagles used to draft Matt Clape). Mann played 39 games for the Kangaroos between 1991 and 1994, kicking 12 goals, but playing mainly at centre half back. The Essendon Football Club, nicknamed the Bombers, is a professional Australian rules football club. The club plays in the Australian Football League (AFL), the game's premier competition.
