Frano Zubić (Bosnian pronunciation, Frano Zoobeech) (Travnik, 1822 – Bučići, 1871), a Bosnian Franciscan, who lived and worked in the Ottoman Bosnia in the 19th century. Life and work He finished basic education in the Fojnica monastery of the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena, entered the novitiate on November 4, 1839, took his first vows on the same day next year. After studying philosophy and theology for five years, he was ordained priest and became a parish vicar in the parish of Sokoline. There he was imprisoned by Turkish authorities and suffered a great deal. He also served as parish vicar in the parishes of Ivanjska (near Banja Luka), Bosanska Gradiška, and Dolac. Frano Vodopivec (4 July 1924 – 13 March 1998) was a Croatian cinematographer. Background Vodopivec first began working with film and photography in high school and during World War II he worked at ''Hrvatski slikopis'', the state-sponsored film company which produced propaganda shorts for the short-lived fascist regime of the Independent State of Croatia. After the war he worked on newsreels, before joining Jadran Film production company, for whom he shot his first short feature in 1947 and his first feature film in 1952 (''U oluji'', directed by Vatroslav Mimica). His second feature was ''The Girl and the Oak'' (1955, directed by Krešo Golik), which won him the Golden Arena for Best Cinematography at the 1955 Pula Film Festival, the Yugoslav national film awards. Frano Supilo
Frano Supilo (30 November 1870 – 25 September 1917) was a Croatian politician and journalist. He opposed the Austro-Hungarian domination of Europe prior to World War I. He participated in the debates leading to the formation of Yugoslavia as a member of the Yugoslav Committee. The author, R. A. Stradling, calls him "one of the most capable Croatian politicians ever." Early years Supilo was born in Cavtat on 30 November 1870. He completed elementary education in Dubrovnik. He had to drop out of naval high school because of a lack of funds, and instead finished a two-year school of agriculture with Frano Gondola.Other references say he was expelled from school over his political activity when he protested during a state visit from Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria to Dubrovnik in 1883. Frano Michael Botica (born 3 August 1963) is a New Zealand-Croatian rugby union and rugby league coach and former player in both codes, who played in the 1980s and 1990s. Frano Menegello Dinčić also spelled Frano Meneghello Dinčić (Kotor, Montenegro, 28 February 1900 - Belgrade, Yugoslavia, 1986) was a Yugoslav medalist and sculptor from Dalmatia. Biography He was born into a naval family, originally from Hvar. He lived in Split where he graduated from the School of Applied Arts and later the Academy Fine Arts in Prague, in the class of Professor Otakar Španiel. He further refined his skills in Paris and Munich. Before leaving for Belgrade in 1928, he worked from 1922 to 1924 as a lecturer in Split. He was a member of the Society of Fine Artists of Serbia.
