Frane Franić
Frane Franić (29 December 1912 – 17 March 2007) was a prelate of the Catholic Church who served as the archbishop of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Split-Makarska, Split-Makarska from 1969 to his retirement in 1988. He also served as the last bishop of Split-Makarska before the diocese was elevated to the status of an archdiocese from 1960 to 1969. Prior to that, Franić was the apostolic administrator of the same diocese from 1954 to 1960 and an auxiliary bishop, holding the title of the titular bishop of Agathopolis from 1950 to 1954. Franić belonged to a group of conservative prelates willing to engage in a dialogue with the communist government. After 1960s, however, he became a liberal and promoted ecumenical dialogue. Frane Matošić
Frane Matošić (25 November 1918 – 29 October 2007) was a Croatian football player and coach who played as a striker. He is regarded as one of Hajduk Split's greatest players and he is the club's all-time leading goalscorer. Playing career Club Born in Split, Matošić started to play football with HNK Hajduk from Split. In his very first game for ''Hajduk'' in 1935 against '' Slavija'' from Sarajevo, Matošić scored two goals. He played 16 seasons for Hajduk. His older brother Jozo Matošić was also football player with whom he was a teammate at Hajduk. While serving the obligatory military service in the season 1939, he played for the BSK from Belgrade. Frane Adam
Frane Adam (born 23 November 1948) is a Slovenian sociologist, editor and former dissident political activist. During the early 1970s, he was one of the leaders of the student protest movement in the Socialist Republic of Slovenia. Adam was born in Pivka, Slovenia, then part of Yugoslavia. He studied at the University of Ljubljana, where he became one of the most prominent activists in the Slovenian student movement, which arose as part of the all-European protests of 1968. In 1972, he was arrested by the Communist authorities together with poet Milan Jesih. Their arrest triggered the occupation of the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana by the students. Frane Ikić (born 19 June 1994) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Bosnian Premier League club Velež Mostar. Frane Bulić (October 4, 1846 - July 29, 1934) was a Croatian priest, archaeologist, and historian. Biography Bulić was born in Vranjic (now part of Solin), and studied theology in Zadar and then classical philology and archeology in Vienna. He became the curator of the Split Archaeological Museum, and was entrusted with the conservation of cultural and historical antiquities over all of Dalmatia. He was also active politically. He was elected the representative of the county of Split in the Dalmatian parliament and as representative of Dalmatia in the Imperial Council in Vienna. Frane Milčinski (pen name Ježek; 14 December 1914 – 27 February 1988) was a Slovene poet, satirist, humorist and comedian, actor, children's writer, and director.
