Frankie Oviedo
Frankie Oviedo (born September 21, 1973) is a Colombian former footballer and coach who played for various clubs of Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico as a midfielder. He retired in 2009 to lead a youth football academy in Cali. He capped 20 matches with the national team. In 2012, he joined Club Tijuana in Mexico as an assistant coach for the U-20 teams. He currently leads the Tijuana Femenil. Liga MX Femenil
The Liga MX Femenil, officially known as the Liga BBVA MX Femenil for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Mexico. Supervised by the Mexican Football Federation, this professional league has 18 teams, each coinciding with a Liga MX team. Following the same schedule as the men's league, each season has two halves: an Apertura tournament, which takes place from July to December, and a Clausura tournament, which takes place from January to May. The league's first official domestic cup competition took place in May 2017 via the Copa MX Femenil, a now discontinued tournament that was created with the objective of preparing the teams for the inaugural season of the league which began in July 2017. Boyacá Chicó won their first ever title in the Apertura tournament, beating America de Cali 4–2 on penalties. InterLiga
The InterLiga was a football competition from 2004 to 2010 between Mexican clubs to determine qualifying spots for that country in South America's premier club competition, the Copa Libertadores. Prior to the 2004 Copa Libertadores, Mexican clubs competed in two levels of competition—first against one another, and then against clubs from Venezuela—for spots in the main competition. In 2004, Mexico and Venezuela were granted automatic entries to the Copa Libertadores for the first time.
