Frank Turner
Francis Edward Turner (born 28 December 1981), is an English Punk rock, punk and Folk music, folk singer-songwriter from Meonstoke, Hampshire. He began his career as the vocalist of post-hardcore band Million Dead, then embarked upon a primarily acoustic-based solo career following the band's split in 2005. In the studio and during live performances, Turner is accompanied by his backing band, The Sleeping Souls, which consists of Ben Lloyd (guitar, mandolin), Tarrant Anderson (bass), Matt Nasir (piano, mandolin) and Callum Green (drums). To date, Turner has released nine solo albums, four rarities compilation albums, one retrospective "best of" album, one split album and five Extended play, EPs. Turner's ninth and most recent studio album, ''FTHC'' was released on 11 February 2022 and reached number 1 in the UK albums chart in the week following its release. Dive Dive
Dive Dive are a British rock band, composed of Jamie Stuart (guitar and vocals), Ben Lloyd (guitar and vocals), Nigel Powell (drums and vocals) and Tarrant Anderson (bass guitar). Ben Lloyd and Tarrant Anderson also play as full-time members of Frank Turner's band, The Sleeping Souls. Dive Dive formed in 2001 in Oxford, England after the breakup of the members' previous bands, Unbelievable Truth (Nigel Powell) and Dustball (Jamie Stuart and Tarrant Anderson), in 2000. The band were championed from early on by John Peel, for whom they recorded a number of sessions at the BBC Maida Vale Studios and also performed live on his BBC Radio 1 show. Richard Fox Cartwright
Richard Fox Cartwright (10 November 191310 April 2009) was the Anglican Bishop of Plymouth from 1972 to 1982. Cartwright was born son of George Frederick Cartwright (1874–1938), M.A., vicar of Plumstead from 1928 to 1938, Organising Secretary of the White Cross League from 1910 to 1915; he was educated at The King's School, Canterbury and Pembroke College, Cambridge. After he was deaconed (during Advent 1936 ) and priested (the following Advent ) — both times by Richard Parsons, Bishop of Southwark, at Southwark Cathedral, he was a curate at St Anselm's Kennington Cross and then priest in charge of Lower Kingswood. ''FTHC'' (initialism for ''Frank Turner Hardcore'') is the ninth studio album by English singer-songwriter Frank Turner, released on 11 February 2022. Background and production After tour plans for the rest of 2020 were cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown measures, Turner engaged in a weekly series of acoustic livestreams from his home which he called "Independent Venue Love", the goal of which was to raise money for grassroots venues that were struggling due to the lack of patronage caused by the pandemic and lockdown. During these streams, he began performing new material alongside his previously released back catalogue. Matt Nasir is an English multi-instrumental musician, based in London, England. He currently plays keyboards in Frank Turner's band The Sleeping Souls and is a member of the London-based rock band, The Pressure Room. He has also previously played in Andy Yorke's live band and is known as the 'Archivist' for his remixing work. Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls headlined Wembley Arena in April 2012 and played at the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Tarrant Anderson is an English musician, currently serving as the bass player for Frank Turner's live and studio band, The Sleeping Souls and is a member of the British rock band Dive Dive. He was previously a member of the British punk band ''Dustball'' and is based in Oxford, England. Anderson is a Laney endorsed artist. He is also a director of the tour bus hire company Vans For Bands Ltd. Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls won Best Live Act at the Association of Independent Music Awards in 2011 and headlined London's Wembley Arena in April 2012. Post-hardcore
Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression.
