Frank Robert (actor)
Frank Robert (né Frank Robert Olstad; 12 October 1918 – 13 July 2007) was a Norwegian singer, dancer and actor. He is particularly remembered for playing the title character in the popular audio play ''Dickie Dick Dickens''. Personal life Robert was born in Kristiania to engineer Ole Christian Olstad and Helene Elisabet Svensson. He was married to actress Randi Brænne, and a brother-in-law of Berit Brænne. Originally born Olstad, his second name Robert was upgraded to surname after an initiative from Chat Noir manager Johan Henrik Wiers-Jenssen. Career Robert made his stage debut at the Carl Johan Theater in 1939. From 1941 he performed at the revue stage Chat Noir, and then at Centralteatret from 1944 to 1958. He was assigned with the Nationaltheatret from 1958 to 1962, and after a period at Oslo Nye Teater, again at Nationaltheatret from 1968 to 1988. Randi Brænne
Randi Brænne (26 May 1911 – 1 June 2004) was a Norwegian actress. She was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She was a daughter of Sigmund Brænne and Bodil Winge and was a sister of actress and writer Berit Brænne (1918–1976). Randi Brænne was married to two acting colleagues; Frithjof Fearnley (1896–1971) and Frank Robert (1918–2007). She made her stage debut at Det Nye Teater in 1934. She performed at various theatres including Den Nationale Scene, Trøndelag Teater, Centralteatret, Riksteatret and Seniorteatret. From 1964 and until retirement in 1982, she was permanently engaged at the Riksteatret. She had a number of film roles. Among her best-known film appearances were in ''Du har lovet mig en kone!'' ''Ghosts'' ( no, Gengangere) is a play by the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. It was written in 1881 and first staged in 1882 in Chicago, Illinois, in a production by a Danish company on tour. Like many of Ibsen's plays, ''Ghosts'' is a scathing commentary on 19th-century morality. Because of its subject matter, which includes religion, venereal disease, incest, and euthanasia, it immediately generated strong controversy and negative criticism. Since then the play has fared better, and is considered a “great play” that historically holds a position of “immense importance”. Finn Bø
Finn Bø (4 July 1893 – 24 April 1962) was a Norwegian songwriter, revue writer, playwright, journalist, instructor and theatre critic. Career Bø is particularly remembered for his song Norge i rødt, hvitt og blått, which became extremely popular in 1945. Among his other popular songs are "Nå går'n på gummisåler" and "Bare rundt omkring", both from 1928. He published the anecdote collection ''Forbuden frukt'' in 1945, and the song collection ''Jeg tar mig den frihet'' in 1946. Several of his plays were also adapted into films. Thorbjørn Egner (12 December 1912 – 24 December 1990) was a Norway, Norwegian playwright, songwriter and illustrator known principally for his books, plays and musicals for children. He is principally associated with his narratives for children including ''Karius og Baktus'' (1949) and ''People and Robbers of Cardemon Town, Folk og røvere i Kardemomme by '' (1955). Radioteatret is a department of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation which produces audio plays for radio broadcasting. It was established in 1927. In January 2021, ''Verdens Gang'' cited a report from NTB, saying that Radioteatret ow isbeing decommissioned; furthermore "the theatre will get a new life as podcast". Directors Its first theatre director was Gunnar Neels-Hansson, who headed the theatre until 1950. ''Freske fraspark'' (Fresh Push-Offs) is a Norwegian comedy film from 1963 directed by Bjørn Breigutu. The script was written by Kjell Aukrust and Breigutu. The story was previously arranged for stage for the Norwegian Theater in Oslo as the play ''Dobbeltsats og freske fraspark'' (Double Takeoff and Fresh Push-Offs), which was based on scenes from Aukrust's books ''Simen'' and ''Bror min'', published in 1958 and 1960. Filming of ''Freske fraspark'' took place in Alvdal, Tolga, and Vingelen. The film was very poorly received by the reviewer at ''Verdens Gang'', who gave it one star out of six.
