Frank Macchiarola
Frank J. Macchiarola (April 7, 1941 – December 18, 2012), was an American academic. His interests and expertise spanned the legal, academic, executive management and public service areas. From 2008 until his death, Macchiarola was the Chancellor of St. Francis College, after having been the college's president from 1996 to 2008. Education Macchiarola grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn, obtained his B.A. in History from St. Francis College in 1962 and subsequently his LL.B. from Columbia Law School and Ph.D. from Columbia University. Career Macchiarola held various positions at New York City educational institutions, including Columbia University, Yeshiva University, City College of New York, and St. Francis College. Brother Donald Sullivan, OSF was an American academic of Canadian descent. From 1969 to 1995, Sullivan served as the 16th President of St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. The Partnership for New York City, formerly called the New York City Partnership, is a nonprofit membership organization consisting of a select group of nearly three hundred CEOs ("Partners") from New York City's top corporate, investment and entrepreneurial firms. Thomas C. Hauser (born February 27, 1946) is an American author known for his biographies and novels. Biography Hauser graduated from Columbia College in 1967 and Columbia Law School in 1970. He made his debut as a writer in 1978 with ''The Execution of Charles Horman: An American Sacrifice''. Horman's wife, Joyce Horman, and his parents, Edmund and Elizabeth Horman, cooperated with Hauser on the book describing both the fate of Charles and his family's quest to uncover the truth in Chile. It was adapted as Costa-Gavras's 1982 film ''Missing'', starring Jack Lemmon and Sissy Spacek.
