Frank C. Girardot
Frank Girardot (born January 1961) is an American author, journalist, victim advocate, and radio host. He is best known for "Name Dropper" his biography of serial imposter Christian Gerhartsreiter. He is communications director for BYD Auto's North American operations, CEO of Pegasus Communications, LLC and the former editor and columnist for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Career Girardot got his start in journalism as a copy boy at the '' Los Angeles Herald-Examiner''. Subsequent to the newspaper's closing, he worked for the ''Ontario Daily Report'', the '' San Gabriel Valley Tribune'' and the ''Pasadena Star-News''. His 1994 story on the unsolved murder of Geneva Hilliker Ellroy, the mother of novelist James Ellroy, resulted in Ellroy's book '' My Dark Places''. Los Angeles County Department Of Coroner
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner (formerly the Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner and Department of Coroner) was created in its present form on December 17, 1920 by an ordinance approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, although it has existed in some form since the appointment of the first county coroner in 1850. It is headquartered in Boyle Heights. On September 3, 2020, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved the name change for the department, from the Department of Coroner to the Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. On July 9, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved the appointment of Mark A. Fajardo, the Chief Forensic Pathologist at Riverside County, as the new Medical Examiner-Coroner, at an annual salary of $275,000. Pasadena ( ) is a city in Los Angeles County, California, northeast of downtown Los Angeles. It is the most populous city and the primary cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley. KRLA
KRLA (870 kHz) "AM 870 The Answer" is a commercial AM radio station broadcasting a talk radio format. Licensed to Glendale, California, it serves Greater Los Angeles and Southern California. The station is owned by Salem Media Group, which also owns 99.5 KKLA-FM which features a Christian talk and teaching format, and 95.9 KFSH-FM with a contemporary Christian music format. By day, KRLA transmits with 50,000 watts, the maximum for commercial AM stations. Since AM 870 is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WWL New Orleans, KRLA must reduce power at sunset to 3,000 watts to reduce interference. It uses a directional antenna with a three-tower array. The transmitter is off El Reposo Drive in Los Angeles, near the Glendale Freeway. Richard Ramirez
Ricardo "Richard" Leyva Muñoz Ramirez (; February 29, 1960 – June 7, 2013), dubbed the Night Stalker, the Valley Intruder (as his attacks were first clustered in the San Gabriel Valley), and the Walk-in Killer was an American serial killer and sex offender whose crime spree took place in California between June 1984 and August 1985. He was convicted and sentenced to death in 1989. He died in 2013 while awaiting execution. Ramirez's childhood is considered an influence on his crimes. Frequently abused by his father, Ramirez began developing gruesome and macabre interests in his early and mid-teens from his older cousin, Miguel ("Mike") Ramirez, who also taught him some of the military skills that he would go on to use during his year-long killing spree. John Leonard Orr
John Leonard Orr (born April 26, 1949) is an American convicted serial arsonist, mass murderer, former firefighter, and novelist. A fire captain and arson investigator in Glendale, California, Orr was convicted of serial arson and four counts of murder, however he is believed to have set nearly 2,000 fires in a 30 year arson spree where most of them occurred between 1984 and 1991, making him the most prolific serial arsonist in American history. During his arson spree, Orr had several nicknames "The Pillow Pyro" due to the location of the fires inside shops., the "Frito Bandito", and the "coin-tosser." Orr's ''modus operandi'' was to set fires using an incendiary timing device, usually comprising a lit cigarette with three matches wrapped in ruled yellow writing paper and secured by a rubber band, in stores while they were open and populated. Ken Eurell
Kenneth Eurell (born November 1960) is a former New York City Police Department police officer and associate of the Adam Diaz drug organization, was arrested in May of 1992 for running a drug ring out of Suffolk County, Long Island. The charges were upgraded to RICO in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Eurell cooperated with federal authorities in the arrests of his former partner Michael Dowd and drug associates. He is a subject of the 2014 documentary film ''The Seven Five'' directed by Tiller Russell and produced by Eli Holzman. Early life Eurell was born in Ozone Park, Queens, New York.
