Francesco Gonin
Francesco Gonin (December 16, 1808 in Turin – September 14, 1889 in Giaveno, near Susa, Piedmont, Susa, Piedmont) was an Italian painter, Engraving, engraver and scenographer. Early life Francesco's father Giovanni was of French people, French descent, and his mother Sara Castanier was Germany, German. He initially studied under Giovanni Battista Biscarra at the Accademia Albertina. He later learned fresco painting from the scenic designer of the Teatro Regio (Turin), Teatro Regio at Turin, Luigi Vacca, ultimately married Vacca's daughter. Career He illustrated Alessandro Manzoni's ''I Promessi Sposi'' (The Betrothed (Manzoni novel), The Betrothed). From 1840 to 1841, he collaborated with Carlo Bellosio to paint the ballroom and hall at the Royal Palace of Turin, Royal Palace in Turin. Teatro Regio (Turin)
The Teatro Regio (Royal Theatre) is a prominent opera house and opera company in Turin, Piedmont, Italy. Its season runs from October to June with the presentation of eight or nine operas given from five to twelve performances of each. Several buildings provided venues for operatic productions in Turin from the mid-16th century, but it was not until 1713 that a proper opera house was considered, and under the architect Filippo Juvarra planning began. However, the cornerstone was not laid until the reign of Charles Emmanuel III in 1738 after Juvarra's death. The work was supervised by Benedetto Alfieri until the theatre was completed and decorated by Bernardino Galliari. Torino Porta Nuova Railway Station
Torino Porta Nuova railway station is the main railway station of Turin, northern Italy. It is the third busiest station in Italy for passenger flow after Rome Termini and Milan Central, with about 192,000 journeys per day and 70 million travellers a year and a total of about 350 trains per day. Porta Nuova is a terminal station, with trains arriving perpendicularly to the facade. Vigevano (; lmo, label=Western Lombard, Avgevan) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Pavia, Lombardy in northern Italy. The Royal Castle of Racconigi is a palace and landscape park in Racconigi, province of Cuneo, Italy.
