Foxton railway station serves the village of Foxton in Cambridgeshire, England. It is from . The station is operated by Great Northern. It is located adjacent to the busy A10 level crossing, which is monitored from the nearby signal box. A freight-only branch (the Barrington Light Railway) diverges to the west beyond the crossing south of the station, serving the nearby Barrington cement works & quarry. Services All services at Foxton are operated by Thameslink using EMUs. Foxton, Cambridgeshire
Foxton is a small village in South Cambridgeshire, England. It has a number of well-preserved fifteenth- and sixteenth-century houses, and a thirteenth-century church dedicated to St Laurence. History The parish has been occupied for at least 2000 years; in the first century A.D. a Belgic settlement appeared, closely followed by a Romano-British farmstead near Hoffer bridge. A pagan English cemetery has also been found just north of the railway station. The parish itself was formed over the medieval period and is bounded on the north by the River Cam and on the north-east and southwest by the Hoffer and Shepreth brooks. Harston Railway Station
Harston was a railway station on the Cambridge Line, which served the village of Harston in Cambridgeshire. The station opened on 1 April 1852, and closed on 17 June 1963. A small part of the former southbound platform remains in situ but otherwise all remains of the station have gone.
