Fox Television Group
Fox Networks Group (FNG) is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company that oversees international television assets that were acquired from 21st Century Fox. It produces and distributes more than 300 entertainment, film, sports and factual channels in 45 languages across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (also formerly in Latin America before rebranded to Star on February 22, 2021), using several brands, including Fox, Fox Sports, and BabyTV. Among their non-linear brands were Fox Play and Fox Plus. These brands reached over 1.725 billion households around the world. Until March 2019, the group also included the U.S. unit which consisted of Fox Television Group, Fox Cable Networks, Fox Sports Media Group, Fox News Group, National Geographic Partners, and Fox Networks Digital Consumer Group. Star Channel (Latin American TV Channel)
Star Channel is a Latin American pay television channel operated by Disney Media Networks Latin America, Part of The Walt Disney Company Latin America. The channel is mainly oriented towards family audiences, unlike its sister channel FX which is aimed at young males. Most shows retain their original English-language titles. History The channel was originally launched as Fox, the localized version of the American television network Fox Broadcasting Company. The Spanish-language broadcast began on 14 August 1993 and the Portuguese-language broadcast began on 17 September 1994. The channel took part in the worldwide premiere of '' The Walking Dead'' on November 1, 2010, and the Zombie Invasion Event promotion that led up to it. After the final episode of the first season of ''The Walking Dead'' aired, Fox released the uncensored version of the first episode. Gail Berman
Gail Berman (born August 17, 1956) is an American producer and television executive. She is co-owner and founding partner of The Jackal Group, a production entity formed in partnership with Fox Networks Group. The Jackal Group develops and produces scripted, unscripted and factual entertainment programming for FNG's channels, including Fox Broadcasting Company, FX/FXX, the National Geographic Channels, and Fox International Channels. The partnership also provides for opportunities in digital and film, as well as for non-21st Century Fox distribution entities. Early life Berman was born to a Jewish family in Brooklyn. The family soon moved to Bellmore, New York where she was raised. In 1974, she graduated from Abington High School and in 1978, she graduated with a B.A. in theater from the University of Maryland. 20th Television (formerly 20th Century Fox Television, 20th Century-Fox Television, and TCF Television Productions, Inc.) is an American television production company that is a division of Disney Television Studios, part of The Walt Disney Company. The original incarnation of 20th Television was the syndication and distribution arm of 20th Century Fox Television until it was folded into Disney–ABC Domestic Television in 2020. 20th Television was part of The Walt Disney Company's acquisition of the majority of 21st Century Fox's assets in 2019.
