Four Hearts (russian: Сердца четырёх, Serdtsa chetyryokh) is a 1941 Soviet comedy film directed by Konstantin Yudin. Plot In the suburban dacha settlement, a regiment of tankers has been quartered. The plot is built around two sisters, absolutely different, but equally loving. One is a serious mathematician, the other is a frivolous dragonfly. In the center of attention of the girls is a brave military man. Life vicissitudes, funny and difficult situations, intrigue, tears, joy, but everything is built around one love. Konstantin Yudin
Konstantin Konstantinovich Yudin (russian: Константи́н Константи́нович Ю́дин) (1896–1957) was a Soviet film director. Biography Born in the Semyonovskoe village near Dmitrov (now Dmitrovsky District, Moscow Oblast) into a Russian working-class family, one of the five children of Konstantin Ilyich Yudin, a miller who died in 1904. The kids then moved to the neighboring village to live with their grandparents. After graduating from school Yudin was brought to Moscow to work for hire. By the age of 18 he became a professional jockey working at the Moscow hippodrome. In 1917 he was suggested a place at the Pyatigorsk hippodrome. Shortly after the Russian Civil War started. Aleksandr Antonov (actor)
Aleksandr Pavlovich Antonov (russian: Александр Павлович Антонов; 13 February 1898, in Moscow – 26 November 1962) was a Soviet film actor who had a lengthy career, stretching from the silent era to the 1950s. Antonov was named Merited Artist of the Russian Federation in 1950. Antonov was a member of the Moscow Proletarian Culture Theater between the years 1920–1924 when he met Sergei Eisenshtein, who cast him in his directorial debut short film Glumov's Diary (1923) and in his first full-length feature ''Strike'' (1924). Eisenshtein then gave Antonov the part of Bolshevik leader Grigory Vakulinchuk in ''The Battleship Potemkin'' (1925), which remains his best known role. Antonov continued his career into both the late silent and the sound period where he usually played episodic character actor roles of either proletarians or sailors. Rostislav Yanovich Plyatt (russian: Ростислав Янович Плятт; — 30 June 1989) was a Soviet and Russian stage and film actor. He was named People's Artist of the USSR in 1961 and awarded the USSR State Prize in 1982. Biography Born in Rostov-on-Don (modern-day Rostov Oblast of Russia) as Rostislav Ivanovich Plyat, the future actor was so obsessed with theatre that he decided to "correct" his name at the passport office to make it more euphonious and memorable. His father, Ivan Iosifovich Plyat, was a lawyer of Polish descent, "although a very russified one". Tatyana Barysheva
Tatyana Semyonovna Barysheva (russian: Татья́на Семёновна Ба́рышева; 31 December 1896 - 10 February 1979) was a Soviet stage and film actress. Life Barysheva was born in Moscow. From 1915 to 1918 she was an actress at the Drama Studio of the Moscow Philharmonic. Later she also worked at the Kalyaevsky People's House in Moscow, as well as with theater troupes in Vladimir and Vyatka. In 1945, she became an actress at the Moscow State Film Actor Theater, where she remained until 1957. During her film career of more than forty years, she tended to play comedic character roles. Outside of cinema, she was most active in the vaudeville scene, where her fellow actors nicknamed her "Kolobok" in reference to her rotund physique. In 1977 she moved into a film actors' nursing home in Moscow, and died there two years later.
