Fountain Place
Fountain Place is a 60-story Modern architecture, late-modernist skyscraper in downtown Dallas, Texas. Standing at a structural height of , it is the List of tallest buildings in Dallas, fifth-tallest building in Dallas, and the Tallest buildings in Texas, 15th-tallest in Texas. (If the antennas and spires of the Renaissance Tower (Dallas), Renaissance Tower were excluded, Fountain Place would be the fourth-tallest building in Dallas, and the 14th-tallest in Texas). A new 45-story sibling tower, AMLI Fountain Place, has been built to its northwest on an adjacent lot. Design Original plans for the project called for twin towers, with the second tower rotated 90 degrees from the original, to be built across the garden on an adjacent lot, but with the 1979 energy crisis, collapse of the Texas oil, banking and real estate industry and the savings and loan scandal of the 1980s, the project was never completed. Hosam Maher Husein Smadi (born 1990) is a citizen of Jordan who was arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist bombing of Fountain Place, a building in Dallas, Texas, on September 24, 2009. Smadi was in the United States illegally, and unaware he was under continuous surveillance, and that the other members of his "sleeper cell" were all Federal agents. The agents in his "sleeper cell" had supplied him with inert chemicals, so his bomb had not posed a real threat. Smadi was provided with a fake bomb by FBI agents posing as members of al-Qaeda. He placed the device in the parking garage under the building and activated it with a cell phone. Instead of setting off a bomb, the cell phone rang a phone number at the FBI offices. The Dubai Fountain
The Dubai Fountain is a choreographed fountain system located on the 12 hectare (30 acre) artificial Burj Khalifa Lake, at the center of the Downtown Dubai development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was designed by WET Design, a California-based company also responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 50 colored projectors, it is long and shoots water up to into the air accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. Bellagio (resort)
Bellagio is a resort, luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned by The Blackstone Group and operated by MGM Resorts International. Bellagio was conceived by casino owner Steve Wynn, and was built on the former site of the Dunes hotel-casino. Wynn's company, Mirage Resorts, purchased the Dunes in 1992. Plans were announced in 1994 to replace it with Beau Rivage, a French-themed resort. However, Wynn changed the project plans in 1995, instead theming it after the village of Bellagio, near Lake Como.
