Foul Bay, South Australia
__NOTOC__ Foul Bay is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located on the south coast of Yorke Peninsula immediately adjoining Investigator Strait about west of the state capital of Adelaide. It was formally established in May 1999, with its name deriving from the Foul Bay Shack Site on South Coast Road. It also incorporates the pre-existing "Old Wheel Inn Shack Site" and the "Point Davenport Shack Site". A government town named Nugent was surveyed at the end of Nugent Road, near the Point Davenport site, in July 1880; however, it was never developed and was declared to have ceased to exist on 11 June 1925. In 2012, a portion of Foul Bay was added to Warooka. As of 2014, the majority land use within the locality was “primary production.” Foul Bay is located within the federal division of Grey, the state electoral district of Narungga and the local government area of the Yorke Peninsula Council. 56.4% are male and 43.6% are female. Marion Bay, South Australia
Marion Bay is a small township in the Australian state of South Australia at the southern tip of the Yorke Peninsula. At the 2016 census, Marion Bay had a population of 172. Historically, it formed part of Narungga lands. Description It is surrounded by beaches and is the gateway to the Dhilba Guuranda–Innes National Park. The close proximity of the beach and cliffs have popularized Marion Bay as a fishing destination, with Brown Beach in the nearby Innes National Park being particularly famous among recreational fisherman as a picturesque fishing destination. Narungga is a single-member Electoral districts of South Australia, electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution of 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 South Australian state election, 2018 state election. It is named for the Narungga people who are the traditional owners of the lands in most of the electorate. Yorke Peninsula
The Yorke Peninsula is a peninsula located northwest and west of Adelaide in South Australia, between Spencer Gulf on the west and Gulf St Vincent on the east. The peninsula is separated from Kangaroo Island to the south by Investigator Strait. The most populous town in the region is Kadina. Investigator Strait is a body of water in South Australia lying between the Yorke Peninsula, on the Australian mainland, and Kangaroo Island. It was named by Matthew Flinders after his ship, HMS ''Investigator'', on his voyage of 1801–1802. It is bordered by the Gulf St Vincent in the northeast.
