Fort Point Lighthouse (Nova Scotia)
Fort Point Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on the Mersey River (Nova Scotia), Mersey River outside the town of Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Liverpool in the Canada, Canadian Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Nova Scotia. First erected in 1832, it served as a navigational aid for local sailors and fishermen until 1954, when it was taken out of operation. LaHave (''La Hève'') is a Canadian community in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. The community is located across the river from Riverport and approximately 15 kilometres from the town of Bridgewater. Once the capital of Acadia, it is located on Highway 331 at the mouth of the 97 km long LaHave River. LaHave Islands The LaHave Islands are a small group of islands near shore a few km south of LaHave. Some of the islands are linked by a road to the mainland. Mersey River (Nova Scotia)
The Mersey River, formerly known as Rivière Rossignol by the Acadians, is a river in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is named after the River Mersey in Liverpool, England. The river proper flows from the eastern end of Eleven Mile Lake in Annapolis County southward to Kejimkujik Lake in Kejimkujik National Park, then through Lake Rossignol to empty into the Atlantic Ocean at the town of Liverpool, Nova Scotia. The true source of the river however is as far northwest as Sandy Bottom Lake (Annapolis County) or Tuskopeake Brook (Annapolis County) on the northern tributary.
