Kart racing or karting is a road racing variant of motorsport with open-wheel, four-wheeled vehicles known as go-karts or shifter karts. They are usually raced on scaled-down circuits, although some professional kart races are also held on full-size motorsport circuits. Paul di Resta (born 16 April 1986) is a British racing driver from Scotland, competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Peugeot Sport in their LMH entry. He drove in Formula One for Force India from to , and became a reserve driver for the Williams F1 team in , driving a single race for them as a substitute driver in . Tom Ferrier
Tom Ferrier (born 14 November 1981) is a British racing driver. He had a long running karting career, a milestone was winning the 1998 British Championship. He also won the Star Cup of the Formula Renault Championship the following year, before switching to more entertaining and less competitive saloon cars. Ferrier captured two wins in the Renault Clio Winter series. In 2000 he was a competitor at the national Saloon Championship as well as some Class B BTCC races (the two series have closely related car classes) in an Alfa Romeo 156 prepared by Gary Ayles' team. For 2001 he was linked to Vauxhall for the main class, but chose to race in both the European Super Production Championship and the BTCC. In Europe ranked 12th of the field. Luke Hines (born 4 May 1982 in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire) is a British auto racing driver. He is the son of former karting champion and Zip Kart founder/owner Martin Hines. Career After a small amount of open wheel racing in Formula Ford, Hines entered the Production Class of the BTCC in 2003, with the Barwell Motorsport team. He was the class champion in a field of five full-time drivers. He did enough to be noticed by Vauxhall, who signed him for a 2004 assault on the Touring Class, when he won 2 races and finished 10th overall. In 2005 he switched to the SEAT team, moving up a place to 9th with 1 race win. For 2006 he moved to the British GT Championship driving a Panoz Esperante for the LNT team. Chris Hodgetts (born 6 December 1950 in Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire) is a British former racing driver. He began his racing career in 1979, driving in the Clubman Class A championship. BTCC career Hodgetts debuted in the British Touring Car Championship in 1980. His first overall podium place came in 1981 when he came second. He was consistent in the top five after that, mostly driving for the works Toyota team. He came fourth in 1983, fifth in 1984, second in 1985, before winning the series in 1986 and 1987 at the wheel of a Group C Toyota Corolla AE86. The 1988 season was not a success. Stefan Hodgetts (born 17 June 1982 in Bromsgrove) is a British auto racing driver, best known for driving a part season in the British Touring Car Championship.
