Forever (Buffy Episode)
The fifth season of the television series ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' premiered on September 26, 2000, on The WB and concluded its 22-episode season on May 22, 2001. It maintained its previous timeslot, airing Tuesdays at 8:00 pm ET. This was the final season to air on The WB before it moved to UPN; The WB billed the season five finale as "''The WB'' series finale". Plot In the season premiere, the famous vampire Count Dracula makes an appearance in Sunnydale in search of Buffy. He then bites Buffy in the same place where she was bitten by The Master and Angel ("Prophecy Girl" and " Graduation Day"). Buffy breaks free from his will and Dracula is defeated and staked, but not killed because of Dracula's extraordinary powers. Season five introduces Buffy's younger "sister", Dawn, who suddenly appears in Buffy's life. Sarah Michelle Prinze ( ; born April 14, 1977) is an American actress. After being spotted at the age of four in New York City, she made her screen acting debut in the television film ''An Invasion of Privacy'' (1983). A leading role on the teen drama series ''Swans Crossing'' (1992) was followed by her role as Kendall Hart on the ABC daytime soap opera ''All My Children'' (1993–1995), for which she won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series. "Graduation Day" is the season finale of the WB Television Network's third season of the drama television series ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'', consisting of the twenty-first and twenty-second episodes. They were written and directed by series creator Joss Whedon. "Part 1" first aired on May 18, 1999 and "Part 2" first aired on July 13, 1999. The second part was to originally be aired on May 25, 1999, but was postponed due to the episode's content and the occurrence of the Columbine High School shootings one month prior. The episodes are the last to feature David Boreanaz and Charisma Carpenter as series regulars due to their starring in the spin-off series ''Angel''.
