''For We Are Many'' (sometimes written as ''...For We Are Many'') is the fifth studio album by American metalcore band All That Remains. Released on October 12, 2010, it is the third album by the band to be produced by the Killswitch Engage guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz, who also produced ''This Darkened Heart'' and ''The Fall of Ideals''. Background ''For We Are Many'' is the first All That Remains album to contain the same line-up as the preceding album, a tradition that would continue up through 2015's ''The Order of Things''. On August 18, 2010, the band made the title track downloadable for free. On September 2, the band released the first single to go to rock radio, "Hold On", on their official YouTube channel, while its music video was released on October 6. On April 1, 2011, a music video for "The Last Time" was released. Reception The album sold 29,000 copies in its first week. All That Remains (band)
All That Remains is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1998. They have released nine studio albums, a live CD and DVD, and have sold over a million records worldwide. The group currently consists of vocalist Philip Labonte, rhythm guitarist Mike Martin, former Diecast drummer Jason Costa, and lead guitarist Jason Richardson, with Labonte being the last remaining original member. In spite of this, the band's line-up had remained consistent from the release of 2008's '' Overcome'' until 2015's ''The Order of Things'', spanning four albums. This line-up changed, however, in September 2015, when long-time bassist Jeanne Sagan left the band, with Patrick taking her place, and then again in February 2019, when the band confirmed that Jason Richardson would be joining the band to replace the deceased lead guitarist and original member, Oli Herbert. Jason Costa (born November 5, 1972) is an American musician, best known as the former drummer for the band Diecast, and the current drummer for the band All That Remains. He has been with All That Remains since late 2006, joining almost immediately after Shannon Lucas left the band. Jason has drummed for six All That Remains albums: '' Overcome'', ''For We Are Many'', ''A War You Cannot Win'', ''The Order of Things'', '' Madness'', and ''Victim of the New Disease''. He is notable for being one of the few heavy metal drummers to play solely with the 'traditional grip'. Jeanne Sagan (born January 11, 1979 in Springfield, Massachusetts) is an American musician. She is the bassist and backing vocalist for the heavy metal band Crossing Rubicon, but is best known as the former bassist and backing vocalist for the heavy metal-metalcore band All That Remains from 2006 to 2015. Before joining All That Remains, she was bassist in the band The Acacia Strain in 2003. In 2006, she was asked to join All That Remains after bassist Matt Deis left the band. She originally worked merchandise tables for Prosthetic Records. As of November 2012, Sagan plays a black cherry Spector Legend 4 Classic four-string bass with EMG 35DC active pickups, and Ampeg SVT bass amplifiers. Philip Steven Labonte (born April 15, 1975) is an American singer from Massachusetts, best known as the lead singer of the metalcore band All That Remains. He is the former lead vocalist for Shadows Fall, was the touring vocalist for Killswitch Engage in early 2010, and also filled in for Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody in late 2016.
