Football At The 2018 Asian Games – Women's Tournament
The women's football tournament at the 2018 Asian Games was held from 16 to 31 August in Palembang, Indonesia. North Korea women's national football team, North Korea were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The Indonesia women's national football team, host team was eliminated in the group stage. Competition schedule Venues The tournament will be held in two venues in Palembang, the Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium and the Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium. Squads Draw The draw for the tournament was held on 5 July 2018. The teams were seeded into four pots based on their performances in the previous Asian Games in 2014. Jeon Ga-eul (, or ; born 14 September 1988) is a South Korean footballer who plays for Sejong Sportstoto in the WK League. She was the first South Korean to play in the US National Women's Soccer League, and the Australian W-League. Ji So-yun ( ko, 지소연, ; born 21 February 1991) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for WK League club Suwon FC and the South Korean national team.
