The tenth edition of the Men's Football Tournament at the Pan American Games was held at the William Kuntz Soccer Center in Indianapolis, United States from August 9 to August 21, 1987. Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium
Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium is an outdoor soccer facility located in Indianapolis. It is the location of the IHSAA State Soccer finals. It contains two FIFA-regulated game fields and seats 5,257 people. Various championship games have been played in this facility. It was the site of the 1987 Pan American Games soccer tournament and three U.S. Open Cup finals. Jorge Rivero (footballer)
Jorge Rivero (born Jorge Pous Rosas; June 15, 1938) is a Mexican actor, with a career spanning two continents (America and Europe), primarily in Spanish-language media. He has been also credited as George Rivers and George Rivero. Early life Rivero was raised in Mexico City and proved to be an excellent athlete, excelling in track, jai alai and water polo. At an early age, he became a bodybuilder and has used weightlifting to maintain his physique throughout his life. Graduating from Colegio Universitario Mexicano in 1960 with a degree in chemical engineering, Rivero then became an actor. André Alves da Cruz (born 20 September 1968) is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a central defender. He played for several clubs in Brazil and Europe, and also represented the Brazil national team, taking part in the 1989 and 1995 Copa América tournaments, and the 1998 FIFA World Cup, as well as the 1987 Pan American Games and the 1988 Summer Olympics. Hamilton de Souza (born 27 September 1968 in Passos, Minas Gerais), better known as Careca or Careca II, is a former Brazilian footballer who played as a striker. Careca II played for several Brazilian clubs as Cruzeiro, Atlético Mineiro and Coritiba and also for Sporting CP in Portugal. Careca competed for Brazil at the 1988 Summer Olympics. In the first round, he started three times in the front line with the famed Romário but did not score and was each time substituted for Bebeto. Careca also played each of Brazil's three games in the knock-out stages and won the silver medal, after Brazil lost the final against the Soviet Union.
