''Flor Salvaje'' is an American telenovela that premiered on Telemundo on August 2, 2011, and concluded on March 2, 2012. The telenovela is produced by Hugo León Ferrer, and created by Perla Farías based on '' La novia oscura'' original by Laura Restrepo. The show is deloveped by RTI Producciones and Telemundo Studios, and distributed by Telemundo Internacional. It stars Mónica Spear as the titular character. History From August 2, 2011 to March 2, 2012, Telemundo aired ''Flor Salvaje'' weeknights at 9pm/8c during the 2011 season, replacing '' Los Herederos Del Monte''. ''Corazón Valiente'' replaced this telenovela on March 6, 2012. As with most of its other telenovelas, the network broadcast English subtitles as closed captions on CC3. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Juan Pablo Raba Vidal (born 14 January 1977) is a Colombian film, TV and telenovela actor, best known internationally for his role as Gustavo Gaviria in the 2015 Netflix series '' Narcos''.
