Flat Two
''Flat Two'' is a 1962 British second feature film directed by Alan Cooke and starring John Le Mesurier and Jack Watling. Part of the long-running series of Edgar Wallace Mysteries films made at Merton Park Studios, it is based on the 1924 Wallace story of the same name. Plot Crooked casino owner Emil Louba is found murdered in his apartment. There are three suspects: architect Frank Leamington, whose fiancée Susan owed Louba money; Charles Berry, who had a grudge against him, and Warden, a barrister. Leamington is arrested, and is defended in court by Warden. As the case progresses Warden is forced to present evidence that establishes himself as the killer. Edgar Wallace
Richard Horatio Edgar Wallace (1 April 1875 – 10 February 1932) was a British writer. Born into poverty as an illegitimate London child, Wallace left school at the age of 12. He joined the army at age 21 and was a war correspondent during the Second Boer War for Reuters and the '' Daily Mail''. Struggling with debt, he left South Africa, returned to London and began writing thrillers to raise income, publishing books including '' The Four Just Men'' (1905). Drawing on his time as a reporter in the Congo, covering the Belgian atrocities, Wallace serialised short stories in magazines such as ''The Windsor Magazine'' and later published collections such as ''Sanders of the River'' (1911). He signed with Hodder and Stoughton in 1921 and became an internationally recognised author. David Bauer (born Herman Bernard Waldman, 6 March 1917 – 8 February 1973) was an American actor, a Chicagoan, who was based primarily in Britain. Early life He was chosen as the most promising actor at Washington University and his professional career began immediately after graduating. Russell Waters
Russell Waters (born 10 June 1908, Glasgow, Lanarkshire – died 19 August 1982, Richmond, Surrey) was a Scottish film actor. Waters was educated at Hutchesons' Grammar School, Glasgow and the University of Glasgow. He began acting with the Old English Comedy and Shakespeare Company then appeared in repertory theatre, at the Old Vic and in the West End. On screen Waters generally found himself playing mild mannered characters. Charles Lloyd-Pack (10 October 1902 – 22 December 1983) was a British film, television and stage actor. Life and career Lloyd-Pack was born at Wapping, East London, to working-class parents.
