Charles Lloyd Pack
Charles Lloyd-Pack (10 October 1902 – 22 December 1983) was a British film, television and stage actor. Life and career Lloyd-Pack was born at Wapping, East London, to working-class parents. He was seen in several horror films produced by the Hammer Studios including '' Dracula'', ''The Man Who Could Cheat Death'', ''The Revenge of Frankenstein'', ''The Terror of the Tongs'' and ''Quatermass 2'', the film version of the 1955 BBC TV serial. In 1970 he appeared as Claud Nau at the Chichester Festival Theatre in Robert Bolt's play, '' Vivat! Vivat Regina!''. His best known role was Professor Marks in the British television series ''Strange Report'' but he is also known from other television appearances in '' The Avengers'', ''Man in a Suitcase'', '' Randall & Hopkirk'', ''The Adventures of Robin Hood'', ''The Prisoner'' and the mini-series ''Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill'' (1974). Wapping
Wapping () is a district in East London in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Wapping's position, on the north bank of the River Thames, has given it a strong maritime character, which it retains through its riverside public houses and steps, such as the Prospect of Whitby and Wapping Stairs. It also has a Royal Navy shore establishment base on the riverfront called HMS President and home to Tobacco Dock and King Edward Memorial Park. Many of the original buildings were demolished during the construction of the London Docks and Wapping was further seriously damaged during the Blitz. As the London Docklands declined after the Second World War, the area became run down, with the great warehouses left empty. The area's fortunes were transformed during the 1980s by the London Docklands Development Corporation when the warehouses started to be converted into luxury flats. John Gilling
John Gilling (29 May 1912 – 22 November 1984) was an English film director and screenwriter, born in London. He was known for his horror film, horror movies, especially those he made for Hammer Films, for whom he directed ''The Shadow of the Cat'' (1961), ''The Plague of the Zombies'' (1966), ''The Reptile'' (1966) and ''The Mummy's Shroud'' (1967), among others. John Edward Boulting (21 December 1913 – 17 June 1985) and Roy Alfred Clarence Boulting (21 December 1913 – 5 November 2001), known collectively as the Boulting brothers, were English filmmakers and identical twins who became known for their series of satirical comedies in the 1950s and 1960s. They produced many of their films through their own production company, Charter Film Productions, which they founded in 1937. Reginald Denham
Reginald Denham (10 January 1894 – 4 February 1983) was an English writer, theatre and film director, actor and film producer. Biography Reginald H. F. Denham was born in London, England, in 1894. He spent a good part of his career directing Broadway theatre, with a career spanning from the melodrama ''Rope's End'' (1929) by Patrick Hamilton, to the courtroom drama ''Hostile Witness'' (1966). In 1930 he produced the First World War drama '' Suspense'' in the West End. He was married to Irish actress Moyna Macgill (1919–1924), English actress Lilian Oldland, and American actress and writer Mary Orr (from 1947 until his death). While they were married, Denham and Orr were writing partners. His daughter with Macgill, Isolde Denham, married actor Peter Ustinov when they were both 19.
