Flagstone is a suburban locality in the Greater Flagstone district of the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In 2018, the estimated population of Flagstone was 5,651 people. History Flagstone is situated in the Bundjalung traditional Indigenous Australian country. Towards the north of Flagstone is the Yugarabul traditional Indigenous Australian country of the Brisbane and surrounding regions. The suburb is named after Flagstone Creek which flows into the Logan River just south of Chadwick Drive in South Maclean. Suburban development started in Flagstone in 1996, with the development of nearby infrastructure and roads. On 24 April 1997, Flagstone was named by the Minister for Natural Resources as a neighbourhood within the Undullah and Jimboomba areas, though is now a bounded suburb and district in its own right, along with the Greater Flagstone district suburbs and developments of Flinders Lakes, Monarch Glen, Silverbark Ridge, Riverbend and Glenlogan. Logan City
Logan City is a local government area situated within the south of the Brisbane metropolitan area in South East Queensland, Australia. Situated between the City of Brisbane to the north and the City of Gold Coast to the south, the City also borders the Scenic Rim Region, the City of Ipswich, and Redland City LGAs. Logan City is divided into 70 suburbs and 12 divisions; a councillor is elected to each of the latter. The area had a population of 326,615 in June 2018. Salisbury is a southern suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Salisbury had a population of 6,290 people. Geography Salisbury is by road south of the Brisbane GPO. North Coast Railway Line, New South Wales
The North Coast Line is the primary rail route in the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers regions of New South Wales, Australia, and forms a major part of the Sydney–Brisbane rail corridor. The line begins at Maitland and ends at Roma Street railway station in Brisbane, although freight services terminate at the yard at Acacia Ridge on the outskirts of Brisbane. History Flinders Lakes is situated in the Bundjalung traditional Indigenous Australian country. Flinders Lakes is part of the development corridor south of Brisbane in the Greater Flagstone development area. The origin of the locality name is based upon the views of nearby Flinders Peak. Flinders Lakes was designated as a locality within Logan City by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines in May 2016. Jimboomba is a town and locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Jimboomba had a population of 13,201 people. Geography Jimboomba is situated on the Mount Lindesay Highway, by road south-east of Logan Central and by road south of Brisbane central business district. The western part of Jimboomba is bordered by the new suburb of Glenlogan and the Logan River; the only bridge within the locality is Payne Bridge on Cusack Lane (). There is a low-level older bridge immediately to the north of Payne Bridge but this cannot be used by vehicular traffic. The Queensland Government's current plan is that Jimboomba will become a major residential and business area within the Brisbane metropolitan region, as part of the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, which will house up to 150,000 additional residents in coming decades.
