Fjæreheia
Fjæreheia is a former quarry in Norway where a characteristic red granite was mined. Since 1993 Fjæreheia has been a theatre for both the plays of Ibsen and modern rock musicals. Agder Theatre bought the quarry in 1995, and in summer 1999 built a new amphitheatre with 1000 seats. The quarry is a unique outdoors arena with good acoustics, and lies around 2 kilometers from Fjære church. Since opening in 1999 there have been many different types of arrangement at Fjæreheia. Diverse productions have been staged, including musicals such as ''Jesus Christ Superstar'', film presentations, readings of the poem "Terje Vigen" and rock concerts from acts such as A-ha, Vamp and Bjørn Eidsvåg. Agder Theatre
Kilden Teater is a Norwegian theatre based in Kristiansand. It was established in 1991, and has been the regional theatre for since 1995. It was earlier named Agder Teater, but changed its name after moving in to the new . Its first theatre director was , who led the theatre from 1991 to 1994. |

Henrik Johan Ibsen (; ; 20 March 1828 – 23 May 1906) was a Norwegian playwright and theatre director. Fjære Church
Fjære Church ( no, Fjære kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Grimstad Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Fjære. It is the main church for the Fjære parish which is part of the Vest-Nedenes prosti ( deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, stone church was built in a long church design around the year 1150 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 300 people. History The earliest existing historical records of the church date back to the year 1320, but the church was not new that year. The first church at Fjære was likely a wooden church with a stone altar. That church was taken down at some point an replaced with the present church, likely around the year 1150, but the old stone altar from the old church was left in place and a new stone church was constructed on the same site surrounding the existing altar. Jesus Christ Superstar
''Jesus Christ Superstar'' is a sung-through rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Loosely based on the Gospels' accounts of the Passion, the work interprets the psychology of Jesus and other characters, with much of the plot centered on Judas, who is dissatisfied with the direction in which Jesus is steering his disciples. Terje Vigen
''Terje Vigen'' is a poem written by Henrik Ibsen, published in 1862. Much of the story and setting is from the area around the town of Grimstad in southern Norway where Ibsen lived for a few years in his youth. It describes the dramatic saga of Terje who, in 1809, tried to run the British blockade of Norway's southern coast in a small rowboat in a desperate attempt to smuggle food from Denmark back to his starving wife and daughter. He was captured and imprisoned on a British prison hulk and released in 1814 after the Napoleonic Wars were over, only to find that his family had died. He became a pilot, and years later rescued an English lord who turned out to be the commander of the ship that had captured him. A-ha (usually stylised as ''a-''h''a''; ) is a Norwegian synth-pop band formed in Oslo in 1982. Vamp (initiated in 1990) is a folk-rock band from Haugesund, Norway with founding members Øyvind Staveland, Calle Øyvind Apeland, Paul Hansen, Bjørn Berge, Odin Staveland and Tore Jamne. Antigone (Sophocles Play)
''Antigone'' ( ; grc, Ἀντιγόνη) is an Athenian tragedy written by Sophocles in (or before) 441 BC and first performed at the Festival of Dionysus of the same year. It is thought to be the second oldest surviving play of Sophocles, preceded by ''Ajax'', which was written around the same period. The play is one of a triad of tragedies known as the three Theban plays, following ''Oedipus Rex'' and ''Oedipus at Colonus''.
