Fishguard Sports are a Welsh football club from Fishguard, Pembrokeshire in the southwest of Wales. They currently play in the Pembrokeshire League Division One. They are one of the league's most successful clubs, having since their foundation in 1947, won the Division One championship eleven times. Fishguard
Fishguard ( cy, Abergwaun, meaning "Mouth of the River Gwaun") is a coastal town in Pembrokeshire, Wales, with a population of 3,419 in 2011; the community of Fishguard and Goodwick had a population of 5,407. Modern Fishguard consists of two parts, Lower Fishguard and the "Main Town". Fishguard and Goodwick are twin towns with a joint Town Council. Lower Fishguard is believed to be the site of the original hamlet from which modern Fishguard has grown. It is in a deep valley where the River Gwaun meets the sea, hence the Welsh name for Fishguard. It is a typical fishing village with a short tidal quay. The settlement stretches along the north slope of the valley. The Pembrokeshire League (currently the ''Manderwood Pembrokeshire League'') is a football league in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, running from levels five to nine of the Welsh football league system. Teams promoted from Division One may enter the West Wales Premier League if standards and facilities fall into line with the regulations of the Welsh Football League. WWFA Intermediate Cup
The West Wales Intermediate Challenge Cup is the regional knock-out competition for clubs beneath the umbrella of the West Wales Football Association, at the level of Tier 4 and below of the Welsh Football Pyramid in South West Wales. The tournament invites clubs typically from the top divisions of the Carmarthenshire League, Neath & District League, Pembrokeshire League and Swansea Senior League.
