First Bell
First Bell is a digital teaching platform for primary education in Kerala, India. First Bell is an interim arrangement for regular classes for students of Std 1 to 12 (Kerala State syllabus). It is an initiative by the Kerala Infrastructure Technology for Education (KITE) and a part of Kite Victers (Versatile ICT Enabled Resource for Students). It is owned by the Department of General and Higher Education. Starting First Bell started from 1 June 2020 through VICTERS, in the situation of hiking crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Actually, this is an effort by the State Education Department to ensure that the students do not miss out on lessons due to COVID-19 induced lockdown. It is inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan. The second edition of First Bell started from 1 June 2021, in the name 'First Bell 2.0'. KITE Kerala
Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) is a state owned special purpose company under Department of General Education of the Government of Kerala. It was developed to support ICT enabled education for schools in Kerala. The erstwhile IT@School Project was transformed into KITE for extending its scope of operations in August 2017. KITE was the first SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) company to get funded by KIIFB (Kerala Infrastructure and Investment Fund Board). History IT@School project was established in 2001 and IT campaigns were conducted statewide. Initially, Microsoft had shown interest in the IT@School project, but this was rejected and government went with Free Software. Kite Victers
A kite is a tethered heavier-than-air or lighter-than-air craft with wing surfaces that react against the air to create lift and drag forces. A kite consists of wings, tethers and anchors. Kites often have a bridle and tail to guide the face of the kite so the wind can lift it. Some kite designs don’t need a bridle; box kites can have a single attachment point. Pinarayi Vijayan
Pinarayi Vijayan (; born 24 May 1945) is an Indian Communist politician who is the current Chief Minister of Kerala, serving since 25 May 2016. A member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), he is the longest-serving secretary of the Kerala State Committee of the CPI(M) (1998–2015).
