Firas Lahyani
Firas Lahyani (born 16 July 1991) is a Tunisian basketball player for AS Salé and the Tunisian national team. He is nicknamed "Air Tunisia", because of his athletic style of play and dunking abilities. Professional career Lahyani started his career with Sfax RS. In 2003, Lahyani signed with US Monastir. He won four consecutive national league titles with Monastir from 2019 to 2022. On 28 May, he scored a team-high 21 points on 6-9 shooting in the 2022 BAL Finals to help Monastir win its first-ever BAL championship. In August 2022, he joined Smouha of the Egyptian Basketball Super League, ending his 9-year tenure at Monastir. He returned to Monastir ahead of the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup, in February 2023. In October 2023, Lahyani made his debut for Moroccan club AS Salé in the 2023 Arab Club Basketball Championship. Sfax
Sfax (; ar, صفاقس, Ṣafāqis ) is a city in Tunisia, located southeast of Tunis. 2023 BAL Season
The 2023 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 3, is the third season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season began on 11 March 2023 and will end on 27 May 2023, with the playoffs and finals being played in the BK Arena in Kigali, which hosts the finals for a third season in a row. The regular season is played in Dakar, Senegal (Sahara Conference) and Cairo, Egypt (Nile Conference) for a second year in a row. The qualification games for the season, the Road to BAL, began on 11 October 2022. The winners of the 2023 BAL season will automatically qualify for the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup Singapore. The 2020–21 season was the 62nd season of the US Monastir men's basketball team and the 1st of the team in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). On 27 April 2021, Monastir won its sixth Championnat National A championship, its third consecutive title in a row. 2021 BAL Season
The 2021 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 1, was the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Established as a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and FIBA, the BAL is the highest tier continental league of Africa, replacing the FIBA Africa Basketball League.
