Fintan O'Leary
Fintan O'Leary (born 1 September 1986) is an Irish hurler who plays for club side Ballinhassig and is a former player with divisional side Carrigdhoun and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. Career Ballinhassig O'Leary first played with Ballinhassig at a young age with success at underage after winning a Under-14 South-East Hurling Championship title in 2000 and the same year they got to the Under-14 "B" County Final, but lost to Kanturk 4-09 to 3-10 after a last gasp score. 2 years later at the age of 16 O'Leary won a South-East Minor Hurling title and went on County Minor "A" title after beating Doneraile played in Páirc Uí Rinn. Ballinhassig
Ballinhassig () is a village in County Cork, Ireland, situated south of Cork City just off the N71 Bandon road and near the source of the River Owenabue (''Abhainn Bui'', meaning "Yellow River"). Traditionally an agricultural area, Ballinhassig has seen some growth as a commuter area, being close to Cork city. South East Junior A Football Championship
The South East Cork Junior A Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Carrigdhoun Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1929 for junior Gaelic football teams in the southeastern region of County Cork, Ireland. The series of games begin in April, with the championship culminating with the final in the autumn. The championship includes a group stage, insuring that every team plays at least 2 matches. The South East Junior Championship is an integral part of the wider Cork Junior A Football Championship. The winners of the South East Cork championship join their counterparts from the other seven divisions to contest the county championship. The title has been won at least once by 14 different clubs. Bandon GAA is a Gaelic football and Hurling club based in Bandon in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club is affiliated with Carbery division of Cork. In 2007, Bandon won the West Cork Junior A Football Championship, beating Muintir Bhaire in the final. The club's hurling team meanwhile were runners-up in the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship. 2012 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 2012 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the ninth staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The championship began on 27 May 2012 and ended on 7 October 2012. On 1 September 2012, Aghabullogue were relegated from the championship following a 1-21 to 0-12 defeat by Watergrasshill. On 7 October 2012, Ballinhassig won the championship following a 1-19 to 1-12 defeat of Bandon in the final. Na Piarsaigh GAA
Na Piarsaigh are a hurling and Gaelic football club based in the north side of Cork City, Ireland. History Formation In 1943 a group of idealistic young men drawn mostly from the hurling nursery of North Mon laid the foundations of Cumann Iomana & Peile Na Piarsaigh. The group had its first formal meeting in the presbytery of the North Cathedral. The young men called upon one of their teachers, Donnacha Ó Murchú, for guidance and assistance. This led to him becoming the first ''Uachtarán'' [president] of the club, with Derry Terry serving as ''Runaí'' [secretary] and Paddy Sutton as ''Cisteoir'' [treasurer]. In choosing a name for the club the members sought one which would reflect their aims and ideals. The 1976 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 88th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The championship began on 25 April 1976 and ended on 3 October 1976. Blackrock entered the championship as the defending champions. The final was played on 3 October 1976 at the newly-opened Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Glen Rovers and Blackrock, in what was their second consecutive meeting in the final. Dicksboro is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Kilkenny City, Ireland. History Dicksboro GAA Club, founded in 1909. The club takes its name from Dicksboro townland, located next to Kilkenny Airport, the current ground is Palmerstown, to the west of the city. The 2005–06 All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship was the second staging of the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2004. The All-Ireland final was played on 12 February 2006 at Croke Park in Dublin, between Dicksboro from Kilkenny and Ballinhassig from Cork, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Ballyduff Upper GAA Club is a GAA club based in the west County Waterford village of Ballyduff, Republic of Ireland. The club has won the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship three times, in 1982, 1987 and most recently in 2007. While mainly a hurling club, the club has had some success in Gaelic football, winning the Waterford Senior Football Championship in 1924.
