Bård Finne
Bård Finne (born 13 February 1995) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a forward for SK Brann and the Norway national team. Hailing from Bergen, he started his professional career in Brann. Finne has represented Norway from under-15 to under-21 level. Club career Brann Finne was born in Bergen, with parents hailing from Voss. During his childhood, Finne participated in both athletics and cross-country skiing in addition to playing football and became regional champion in cross-country skiing while competing for Voss IL. Finne, who grew up in the area surrounding Brann Stadion, played football for SK Trane until he gave up both athletics and skiing at the age of 12 and joined Nymark IL where he played with Andreas Vindheim and Kasper Skaanes until the three joined SK Brann's youth-team together in 2009. Jørgen Finne-Grønn
Jørgen Magnus Finne-Grønn (30 July 1905 – 3 October 1998) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Kristiania as a son of genealogist Stian Herlofsen Finne-Grønn (1869–1953) and Margrethe Borchgrevink (1873–1963). He was a brother of painter Hans Finne-Grønn and a grandson of Sofie Borchgrevink. 1947 he married Margareta Christiansen, a daughter of businessperson Christian Christiansen. He finished his secondary education in 1924, and graduated from the Royal Frederick University with the cand.jur. degree in 1931. He started working in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same year, and he was stationed as a secretary at the consulate in Marseille from 1933 to 1934, the legation in Ankara from 1934 to 1936, in Norway from 1936 to 1937, in New York City in 1937, the legation in London from 1941 to 1946, and in Brussels from 1946. Lough Finn
Lough Finn () is a freshwater lough (lake) in County Donegal, Ireland. The lough, along with its neighbouring village of Fintown, was named after a mythological woman, Finngeal, who drowned in the lake after attempting to save her wounded brother Feargamhain. The Finne is a ridge of hills in the German states of Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia up to and 23 km long. Geography Together with the Schmücke, the Hohe Schrecke and the Hainleite, the Finne borders the northeastern rim of the Thuringian Basin. It lies between Bad Sulza and Hauteroda. The Finne Tunnel, which has a total length of 6.885 m and is part of the Erfurt–Leipzig/Halle high-speed railway, passes through the Finne ridge. Fintown (officially known by its Irish name, ) is a small village and townland on the banks of Lough Finn in County Donegal, Ireland. It is within the Gaeltacht, an Irish-speaking area, in the west of the county. Stian Herlofsen Finne-Grønn (31 August 1869 – 1 November 1963) was a Norwegian lawyer, archivist, genealogist and museum director. Biography He was born in the town of Risør in Aust-Agder, Norway. He was the son of engineer Samuel Grønn (1838–1898) and Jacobine Finne (1845–1912). In October 1900 he married Margrethe Borchgrevink (1873–1963), a daughter of Sofie Borchgrevink. They had the sons Hans Finne-Grønn, a painter, and Jørgen Finne-Grønn, an ambassador. He attended the Royal Drafting School (''Den Kongelige Tegneskole'') in Christiania (now Oslo) graduating examen artium in 1888. Hans Fredrik Leganger Finne-Grønn (25 September 1903 – 9 March 2001) was a Norwegian painter. Biography He was born in Kristiania as a son of lawyer and museum director Stian Herlofsen Finne-Grønn (1869–1953) and Margrethe Borchgrevink (1873–1963). He was a brother of ambassador Jørgen Finne-Grønn (1905–1998). His grandmother Sofie Borchgrevink (1846–1911) was principal at Kristiania kvinnelige industriskole. In 1931 he married Liv Friis Holler. He attended Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry, then several academies in Paris, France, then the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts from 1925 to 1928. Gunnar Finne
Johan Gunnar Finne (4 April 1886 – 17 September 1952) was a Finnish sculptor. The architect Elna Kiljander became a single mother after a brief marriage with Finne from 1918 to 1926. Finne's best-known work is the memorial for the author Zachris Topelius in Helsinki. Finne entered the memorial competition arranged in 1928 with an entry titled "Fact and Fable" and won the competition. The finished bronze sculpture was unveiled in 1932 in the Esplanadi Park in central Helsinki. His other works include war heroes statues in Hollola (1941), Karkkila (1948) and Jyväskylä (1922).
